Rest days (not cheat days)
Those who have added exercises into their regimen, what do you do on your rest days? Currently, I do cardio with a 10-inch step for 25 minutes a day. If I were to have to skip a day of my exercise I will put in at least an hour or 2 of walking (I am not a runner) so I can still keep healthy and fit on my days off. For…

Best scale to use?
Hey all! What have you found to be the best scale to use at home? We have one that goes up to like 400 that we bought from walmart. Issue is, it can jump up or down 10 pounds at will. So we never know our weight for sure. The doctor has told us that no matter what scale, usually anyone over 250 will have issues with any…

Fitbit Flex 2 help please!
I'm working out daily and use a Fitbit Flex 2. The calories transfer automatically to my MFP site, but I'd like it to log the type of exercise I'm doing as well. Can this be done? I know I can unsync the device and manually log it but I wish it could be done automatically. Ideas?

Weight gain?!?! Feeling sad.
I have been working my butt off in the gym and tracking everything that passes my lips. I use a food scale and everything. I stepped on the scale today (weigh once a week) and I've gained 2lbs. NO WAY I've eaten 7000 calories in excess. Any insight? What gives! (Not TOM or close to it either).

Hitting that first wall
I'm in the process of getting back in shape after being inactive for about 2 years. So I'm about 2 weeks in now of going back to the gym regularly and gosh did I feel fantastic at first. In fact, I was struggling to hit my calorie goals each day because running and working out so much had suppressed my desire to eat.…

I have taken some breaks here and there (longest was 3 weeks) and have tried refeeds but the scale wont budge as of late and I don’t want to go into a bigger deficit as im afraid i won’t get sufficient nutrients in. I lift weights 5-6 days a week, do LISS (Low Intensity…

Digestive enzyme supplements and other approaches for IBS
I am a woe-is-me broken record on this topic. But, my gut is interfering with my life (and particularly my exercise schedule) and I'm getting desperate to try something new! Some people tell me to try digestive enzyme supplements. There are lots of articles saying they aren't very helpful unless you really have a…

How to beat a plateau without dipping below 1200
Over the past 7 months eating between 1200-1500 I've lost 35 pounds. I do cardio and pilates 6 days a week at a decently high level. Now at 128.5 I've been stuck for over a month. I'm pretty short (5'2) so if ideally like to get down to 115-120. This plateau is driving me nuts! I'm making sure not to fall into "calorie…

Cold Hands
When my hands get the slightest bit cold, they don’t work well. I struggle to do buttons, zippers, texts, anything that requires small amounts of dexterity becomes very difficult. How accurate is BMI
I started at 512 pounds and 6'3. I've got a fairly muscular build. I've been told that I should wait until I'm at 180 before having skin removal surgery and I'm currently at 300 pounds. By my estimates, I'm about a year or so away. I just feel like 180 pounds is pretty low for my build. Thoughts?

New with questions!
Hello, I'm new to myfitnesspal! This is the first time in my life I'm counting calories. I've always followed the Weight Watchers plan. I'm confused about the calories the app says I can have. I'm not using all of them. I'm approximately 500 under every day. However, when I add up what I've consumed in the Weight Watchers…

My bad. I was wrong.
I asked the blog, maybe 2 weeks ago about a certain meal plan I was going to start, and I misinformed some of you all. I thought the meal plan would have began extremely high in calories, about 3200kcal, and then would have gradually reduced as time progressed. I was wrong, my bad. The meaI plan, sold separately, starts at…

Night time cravings
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to avoid nighttime cravings? I can eat well all day but come night time my sweet tooth goes into overdrive. I'm not looking for food options, if I cave to that sweet tooth it just leads to a binge. I'm interested in other things to do that may distract me from the kitchen.

Is 1200 too much for me (a short person!)
I'm right at the 1200 calorie limit and my scale reckons I need 1348 to maintain my current weight. If I want to lose 0.5kg per week officially I ah be looking at a total of 800ish, which sounds hard (easier with exercise but still not much fun at all). It explains why I'm not losing weight at a rate of 0.5kg per week I…

Swimming - Satan’s exercise?
Lol, disregard Satan’s exercise, it’s supposed to epitomize the attitudes I’ve been met with when I tell others that right now the only exercise I’m able to do is swim or walk. I have a knee and a bank injury sustained on Xmas eve and I still haven’t recovered. The responses have ranged from: - you’ll be so hungry…
