Acai Optimum
Has anyone tried this product? I ordered some online (not free trial at all as they claim). I saw on some websites after ordering (and them refusing to cancel) that this may be a scam. Is this product safe? I realize it may not work as stated but wondering if it is actually okay to take?

Using sweeteners in your coffee and food
I do like my one cofee a day (decaf) but can not drink it without some sort of sugar. I use a sweetener instead of regualar sugar. I also have a healthy fibre cereal for breakfast and put one pack of sweetener in it in the morning. Just recently I heard an expert comment on sweeteners can fool the body into thinking it is…

I gained 20lbs overnight!!!
Well, that's what you'd think looking at my progress meter. A few months ago, I reached my target weight of 160lbs (well, 158.8lbs actually) and stopped weighing myself, but started on strength-training. Since then, I've gained 20lbs (and kept the 32 inch waist.) Today, though, I noticed my pants and my vest were getting a…

Nursing Mom can't eat all my "nursing" calories...
Ok, I am having a bit of trouble eating all my calories. I am a nursing mom with a 5 week old, and I have just started tracking my calorie intake. I have my daily goal set at 1700 calories so that my milk supply doesn't decrease, but since I log nursing as well, it adds 500 calories a day back. I haven't started any…

Friendly Reminder to Newbies
I've seen MFP has gotten a lot of new people here in the last month (I assume do to the story on the Today show). Welcome to all of you, by the way. I do want to remind people of how they can find help w/a lot of FAQ. I've been seeing a lot of the same questions asked over and over (which is great, ask away). BUT, I just…

Food and exercise calories
Okay...here's my question. I have always thought that we should focus on the daily intake for calories and that was all we were allowed to have. Now this site adds calories to my day if I exercise. Should I ignore the extra calories and count them as bonus calories or go ahead and eat something extra??? Would love to hear…

Eat more - lose more!
I don't know about anyone else, but before i joined MFP, each time i felt like i'd had a bad week (ie - ate more) i seemed to lose more weight than when i felt like i'd had a gud week. MFP has helped me understand why. For example, last week, theoretically, i should have lost nearly 4lb! But because i didn't eat back my…

Smokers who have quit while losing their weight?
Okay, so I've smoked heavily (pack a day or more) for 10 years. I have made a few attempts to quit (the longest being two months). I've been eating well and exercising for about 2 weeks, and feeling so much better. However, I still feel pretty gross from smoking...it slows me down when exercising as well. I want to feel…

I need help and tips! Gah!
OMG! Today I overate really badly. I'm talking nearly 1000 cals extra. :/ I didn't realise I was eating that amount until I logged it all just now (I've literally only had the chance to). It's not /always/ this bad, but it's still pretty awful! So, what do you guys do when the craving strikes? I need good, strong tips! I…

Weight Loss Myths?
I just had a visit with my nutritionist where she cleared some things up for me! From countless tries with Weight Watcher's I thought that saving calories for the weekend, a big meal, or a party was acceptable. She said this is a big NO NO! Any meal that contains more than 600 calories will be converted to fat. I had no…

Restaurant frustration
So I was invited to join my husband and friend for lunch, which I reluctantly agreed to do because it was a good business contact for me. I thought I would be doing myself a favor ordering the grilled vegetable plate, and imagine my surprise when I came home and checked the nutritional info on their web site to discover…

1200 calories?
:drinker: Ok my target in order to lose weight is 1200 calories a day. Is this normal? I find it exteremly hard to try to maintain this daily calorie intake. Anyone else have this? If so what do you try to do to keep it up!?!

Staying under sugar goal
I added the sugar column to my food diary because I tend to have a problem with sugar. But I am shocked at how little sugar I am allowed to have. The diary doesn't account for fruit sugars vs processed sugars - does that make a difference? I just ate an apple for lunch and it was more than half my allotted sugar.

When do you put your food in diary?
I was wondering if you put your food in your diary first, or add the food as you eat it (or after you eat it)? I usually put it in after I eat it but maybe I should start putting it in before, like in the morning, so that way it will be more planned out. How/when do you add your food? thanx!

Frustration
So I have gained 3 pounds in the last 2 days. I know, I know, I shouldn't weigh myself everyday and that weight fluctuates all the time. It's just frustrating to me that I have lost 16 pounds but I have now gained 3 of those 16 pounds back. I have so much to lose and I get discouraged really easy. I know I have to stay…
