Whatever you want to call it. My husband and I are…

Very new to this app
I am very new to this app/program and really want to lose the lbs. I like to say I still am fighting the baby weight but my children are 5 years old and 3 years old. I just have never lost any of it. I am very motivated to lose at least 20 pounds. I am currently using shakeology for breakfast and lunch. I typically will…

Hi all, I am new here. My name is Aimee and I am 36 year old. I found out that I had an underactive thyroid when I was pregnant with my daughter, she is now 8. I have been on medication for it since and was maintaining a healthy weight until having my son 10 months ago. I gained 60 pound while pregnant with him, I have…

Ketogenic Day 1
Between a stupid thyroid, and being 52, my metabolism screeched to a halt. I just watched my sister lose almost 30 lbs in 12 weeks doing Keto diet. I am motivated! Glad to have anyone else on a Ketogenic focus add me so we might encourage each other.

The wagon stopped and let me back on!
So, I decided this morning that I need to get the extra weight off. After having my new baby girl and gaining a good 60lbs, I was astounded that my body did not bounce back the way it did when I had my son in my early 20's. SHOCKING! You would think after having my 9lb daughter, I would be at least 9lbs slimmer than the…

getting started....again
Back again. I used MFP and lost approximately 30 lbs about 2 years ago through calorie counting and running and running and running... I HATE RUNNING. Before every run I would strap on knee supports and after every run I would need a few ibuprofen and to ice my hip all night. Rather than being smart about it and switching…

Looking for fellow lifters!
Hello all! I used MFP once upon 3 years ago during that steady state cardio/eating too little phase of my life, stopped due to semi-binge eating habits. Now re-starting to try and just gauge my eating and track my lifts, try to bulk responsibly without as many doughnuts as my username suggests, etc etc. Any fellow lifters…

3 for 3 Day Challenge
Hi everyone! Starting a new challenge tomorrow...3 goals for the next 3 days. It's short, sweet, and totally do-able. You pick your own 3 goals to meet for each day for the next 3 days. Mine are 1) Logging 100% 2) Exercise for at least 30 minutes every day 3) Get up and move for at least 5 minutes every hour (I have a…

Am I doing this right?
Hi there. This is my first post on here and I was just hoping to make sure I've got this all down right. I'm sure this has been asked before but please bare with me. I started using MFP on January 1st. I was 242 lbs (5'6"), mostly sedentary (if you call chasing after four little ones sedentary, but I wasn't exercising). I…

Scale question...
Hey guys. I'm new here (again - been at this two previous times). I recently bought a new scale, an Orezi ZB21-W, and I've had a CVS brand one for about 4 years. I'm starting a new DietBet in 2 days and I weighed in on my Orezi, and I came in at 182.4. My CVS brand had me weighing in at 186 a couple of days ago, so I…

Could Use Support
Hey Guys, I have a big goal in front of me that is a little intimidating. I'm getting married in September, and I would like to be under 200 pounds (that's 53 pounds to go before then). I have been going to the gym since January 1 between 4 and 5 days a week (my best friend/MOH has been incredible, she joined my gym and…

Myfitnesspal calories and Fitbit steps
Hi there, Question: Why does myfitnesspal give me back 29 calories for 6000 steps one day but 110 calories for the same 6000 steps a different day? Shouldn't 6000 steps give me back the same amount of calories regardless of the day? Thanks!

Does anyone know how to add steps to your exercise portion of the diary? I walk over 10,000 steps everyday but I don't know how to add it on.

Not new, but finally on track and could use some more friends!
Hey y'all For the first time in my life, I've been reasonably consistent in my weight loss journey. I haven't been the most successful numbers-wise (long story short, had thyroid issues, thyroidectomy, and am still getting my levels sorted out), but I'm at least making healthier / more reasonable choices and seeing steady…
