Maintaining, kind of
It's just over a year since I first signed up to MFP and to say life has changed would be a huge understatement. I've logged my food intake religiously for the last 365+ days, have lost about 40lbs and 4 dress sizes since this time last year. I'd always tended towards being sporty but now actually do some form of exercise…

How accurate are mfp's tdee calculations?
Can anyone give me any information about the accuracy of mfp's tdee calculations? I have been looking at the calories I am said to be burning on an average sedentary day, and they seem a bit high to me. Does anyone have any input?

Currently I do cardio on alternating days (recumbent bike for 25 minutes) and weight lifting on the other days. Everyday though I do stretching and basic strength training exercises while I'm on the floor…

Meal Plan to Maintain
Hey, So I have been trying to maintain my weight for about 4 months now and have been pretty crappy with it until recently. I have dropped 10 unwanted pounds (though myself and my nutritionist both think I look good, but I definitely don't want to lose anymore) as I made the switch. I have to this point been trying to…

Protein Powder?
I have been experimenting with protein powder as a supplement to increase my protein intake and also sometimes in place of "real" food as a smoothie with yogurt. It's not bad, but it seems awfully expensive. What are some good ones that don't have too many calories and what's enouth grams of protein to look for in a…

NSV for maintaining
I have been lifting and have seen the scale weight go up, though my clothes are the same. I went from 124.4 to 136. Not nice for the head. Today, I had a pleasant lady that walked in my store and I admired her thin build. I thought in my head that Wow! this gal looks great! I feel too big and want to cut, so I am…

Maintaining weight..attainable
Can be done if you are serious about keeping it off ......do not think you can go back to your previous eating habits. This is a never ending battle with food. Moderation within your caloric boundaries for your sex is the key. Movement or excercise is the other key. Find the right sport or activity for you. There us no…

What to eat after a cardio session!
Hi, I usually almost 1100kcal per cardio session. What should I eat after this? Lot of carbs? I usually eat a lot of protein and a few carbs for dinner. But I catch up on breakfast and lunch where I eat a lot of carbs (bread, pasta...). I usually train in the evening. Thanks, Jamal

WHAT does the TDEE even include?
I just started using Pacer, a pedometer app, and today it told me I took 3375 steps, and burned 58 cals. Now, do those 58 cals count as exercise calories and would I add them to my TDEE, or does the TDEE already take those into account? I'm assuming, since my BMR is about 1118 and my TDEE is about 1337, that those 58…

Is it 'wrong' to eat when you aren't absolutely hungry?
I've been maintaining my weight fairly well for a while now, but recently (and only recently) I've come to a weird feeling where I'm not really hungry like I used to be at meal times. For instance, I always used to wake up at 5:15 AM and eat breakfast at 5:30. I wasn't 'hungry.' But I would not have access to food again…

Due to these reasons i've lost more weight than I planned, I…
