am i eating too few calories?
I eat between 1300-1650 calories a day and i've been working out all my numbers and i've figured out that my BMR is around 1300. But for example today i have eaten 1400 calories but also burnt 200 calories running, 80 cycling and around 600 at work ,i added that onto my BMR so that tells me that i've burnt atleast 2100…

New hair cut, tattoo, piercing,...
Hi 6lbs from goal weight (30 down) I am beginning to think what I would like to do when I reach my goal. I am thinking about getting my ears pierced and then get myself sneaker earrings :) To celebrate my new lifestyle - and as a reminder to myself. Anyone can relate or did something similar?

Anorexia Recovery Trust Nutritionist or Cals?
Hi everyone-- This is only place I knew to post this. Basically I have been reading that if you are recovering from anorexia the only way to repair your metabolism is eating a 2500 calorie diet and be sedentary or 3000 calorie if under 25 years old. I am 21, have had anorexia since I was 14 (but an ED since I was 6) and…

How can I get more calories?
I'm switching to maintenance and I just can't figure out how to get more calories. I'm very picky and most of the go to's (peanut butter, avocados, chia seeds, etc.) are a no go for me. I can normally get most of my calories in on the weekend, it's the weekdays I'm struggling with. Yesterday alone I had a 900 calorie…

What is your maintenance range?
I got down to my goal weight of 50kg (110lbs) but since then have gained a couple lbs, I weigh in always between 50kg-55kg (110lbs-121kg) Is this an okay maintenance range? I'm 5'1 tall as well. What is your maintenance range?

New Scale Fluctuations?
I have dropped calorie counting recently (for my sanity!) for my maintenance stage. I still eat using the same habits and meals for the most part however. I started this recently and I have been maintaining 136 with NO weight fluctuation (I would only fluctuate to like 135.4 at the lowest and 136.4 at the highest- a small…

How do you know what your final weight goal should be?
This morning I weighed in at 173.2 pounds. I haven’t been that weight in 48 years! I was 21 years old, when my body was this small; and I didn’t stay at that weight for very long. Now, I am 69 years old; and my body has really changed over those years…years of self-inflicted abuse, carrying around huge amounts of fat. My…

when did you transition to maintenance?
Hi everyone, I have lost about 23 pounds since last July. I am currently 45, 5'6 and weigh 140. I didn't really have a specific weight in mind, but was aiming more towards being a solid size 6 or so, which would probably mean a weight of around 135. At any rate, I'm close to where I think I want to be based on…

Has anyone lost weight and then put it back on?
So, the title says it all. Has anyone ever managed to lose a lot of weight in the past, but was unsuccessful in maintaining the weight and has ended up here? I lost 20 kilograms in the past when I was sixteen quite easily just getting a bit of moderate exercise and eating very clean. Unfortunately as I was quite young and…

Steps v. calories?
This is a weird question, but it's bugging me. My husband and I both have fitbit zips. He's a little taller than me but has short legs. When we walk together, he walks 4 steps for my 3. Obviously he gets more steps per day, even if we walk the same distance (I've calibrated my fitbit). Does he actually burn more calories?…

Confession
I've come to the acceptance that I have a borderline eating disorder. Or maybe, I have just become obsessed with losing weight. One or the other. My Doctor told me I am too light, and I am not eating enough fats. My fat macros are typically under 10% a day. My weight was under 132 yesterday. I wish I could accept going…

I went from the MPF weight loss tracker to TDEE
Is there a way to post the TDEE calorie counter on my home page? I cannot use the MPF setting. It is too low in calories for me even maxed out at 2460 for maintenance at my height and weight. My minimum calorie intake is 2866-3000.

What is the reason you decided to lose weight?
What happened where you started saying "I need to lose weight." or "I need to get toned." Mine was a mix of where i couldn't wear my favorite shorts, my stretch marks were really noticeable (they have gotten alot less noticeable lately), and my brother started saying things like "You are losing control of your appetite."…

Maintaining Weight while Lowering Body Fat %
I want to start by advising, I am well aware that the body fat % provided on the scale has a margin of error of 2.5-3%. However, I use the same scale repeatedly and have been using that as a gauge for months on lowering my body fat percentage. My stats: Current Weight: 147 lbs 24 Years old 11.4% Body fat 35-45% daily…

If you like documenting things . . .
I just joined the National Weight Loss Registry, which is a study of people who've maintained a loss of at least 30 pounds for at least a year. (I know many of you are eligible.) When I was filling out the paperwork I realized how hard it is to get long term records from MFP. The reports only go back a year. I've been on…

Quit Birth Control & Quit Smoking - Advice?
Hi there, I quit Cerazette birth control pills four months ago and now quit smoking. Despite maintaining my weight and exercising regularly, I shot up two kilos or 4 1/2 pounds. Still can't seem to shake it that much and I'm worried I'll gain a bit more. Any advice or tips?

Ready for Maintenance! How do I start?
I'm sure this has been asked a million times before but I can't really find the answers I'm looking for (hate the MFP search feature). Trying to maintain but still loosing weight
Hi Everyone, Ive been trying to maintain the weight ive lost but this is proving difficult, I lost 22 pounds initially between December and April and I was happy with this and wanted to maintain. Another dumb reason maintenance is hard
(she says after saying for months that it's not) If you are over 500 calories a day while losing weight, you'll just stall because you've just lost your deficit. If you are over 500 calories a day on MAINTENANCE you're going to gain. No deficit to buffer you. It may obvious to everyone else, but it wasn't to me.

Maintenance not showing on wall.
I reached maintenance this morning by being .2 under my goal weight. My problem is mfp doesn't show I am at goal and hasn't changed my calories to maintenance calories. Would really appreciate if anyone knew why. I am so excited, but disappointed it isn't recognized and not sure what to do now.:blushing:

Is feeling hungrier normal?
I do weight training M-W-F, about 45-60 minutes each, full body. I do cardio (HIIT on the elliptical usually) for 30-45 minutes on T-TH. I take Saturday and Sunday "off", but I walk at least 2-3 miles every day. Since starting on working out, I am SO hungry. Like all I think about it food. Is this normal or am I sabotaging…

Do I have to continue circuit training
So I am not quite at goal yet but getting close. (Thought I had a goal number in mind but might change based on how I look). Anyway I've been doing 30 day shred which is circuit training. Once I reach maintenance do I have to continue circuit training or can I lift and do cardio seperatly?
