Anxiety
Hey everyone. So i use to use this app all the time. Since I've stopped using it I've gained weight. I currently have a boyfriend so that's part if the reason why I gained. I don't remember having bad anxiety then. Although I think I've always suffered from it. I'm constantly having anxiety issues. I either feel like I'm…

Winter Blues
Every year, around November the dark and cold just start to get to me. It makes me want to go into hibernation; I start sleeping more but never feel rested. Striving for goals feels pointless, and while I'm working on developing the grit to keep going when I feel like quitting, I'm not there yet (perfect conditions never…

Hello to all, I am looking to get into a yoga/meditative lifestyle. I am very busy as I have 3 small children and a full time job. I often feel like my thoughts are all over the place! I feel this will center me and keep me focused on the "now". Anyone have any pointers or perhaps a book title that can get me on the path…

Daily Meditation
Hi, I’ve been meditating and learning new meditative techniques for about 6 months now. I used to meditate all the time when I was into martial arts but now I do it for stress and to allow myself time to just be in the moment and think more clearly. I use meditative music sometimes, enjoy dead silence and concentrate on my…

Struggling horrendously with sleep lately.
I want to keep building muscle and I know how important sleep is for that. I've taken Trazadone and Melatonin. But I'm lucky if I get 3 to 5 hours of sleep, but I really want 7 to 10. I've always been a night owl, but it seems harder to go to and stay asleep that past month so far than I can ever recall it being. I might…

Sleep Apnea
I have felt like a walking zombie for the past month or so. I've had my thyroid rechecked and it's good with the dose of meds I'm on. My dr wants me to do a sleep study/ test for sleep apnea and she said it can affect your ability to lose weight....which is a catch 22 since losing weight can help your sleep apnea :/ . Just…

Mental Health & Physical Health.
Posting this here cause I’m hoping someone has some advice or has also experienced something similar. I feel like anytime I get my physical health under control my mental health takes a hit and vice versa. I’ve been in a weird yo-yo between the two for about five years now and cannot seem to figure out how to conquer both…

Waking up in middle of the night
A typical night lately. I go to bed, fall asleep just fine. Then about 2:00 AM I'm awake. Read, watch some tv for about 20 minutes, then can fall back asleep until normal wake up time. Not sure why...any thoughts?

Anxiety, Depression and Trauma-Related Disorders are all various forms of neuroticism?
https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/finding-new-home/202111/new-way-treating-anxiety-depression-and-trauma I saw this article the other day on Psychology.com and found it very interesting as someone who has had periods of anxiety, probably since childhood really. My 12-year old son also definitely has and is being…

High heart rate during sleep
I've been using a Withings sleep mat for some time now, and have discovered that my resting heart rate during sleep (71 average) is way higher than my resting heart rate (55 when sitting totally still) during the day. If I have had any alcohol during the evening the rate is higher (typically 80 average) but even if I have…

Delayed onset of sleep
I've struggled with delayed sleep onset since I was a child. There are rare occasions when I fall asleep within a few minutes but it is common for me to lay awake for any where from 30 minutes to several hours. I find it incredibly frustrating to feel tired (sometimes exhausted) but be unable to sleep. Often I lay in the…

Not sleeping well
For the past 2 weeks I’ve had trouble falling asleep laying in bed for hours on end. My mind is racing and I’m tossing and turning and sometimes just think of giving up and getting up and starting my day. When I do get to sleep I often wake up in the middle of the night. I can usually fall asleep after that but wake up…

Adventures in CPAP-landia
After years of my BF swearing to me that I stop breathing when I sleep, I finally decided to have a sleep study. Huh. Pretty enlightening. Those sinus headaches I had been waking up with were actually a sign of low oxygen (73%). And yes, I was stopping breathing while I "slept" to the tune of 53.1 timer per HOUR. Apnea is…

ADHD, craving sweets, and difficulty losing weight.
Just learned this the other day and thought it was very important to know, for anyone going through this, or who has ADHD friends who could be. How to pick a chiropractor?
What makes a good chiropractor and what is expected from a visit to the chiropractor? Do they go into much of your health details? Adjustments are obviously important, what about massage or needling or other soft tissue work? Do you get a care plan to do some homework on your own? How much are you expecting to pay? Is it a…

Sleeping
I’m working on my sleep. I’ve heard to plan for 7.5hrs. After a week, If you wake up 5mins before your alarm, you are good. If not, add 30 minutes to your sleep time and try again. Etc. I’ve also seen where working out requires you to get more sleep. For example, LeBron often sleeps 12hrs to recover. My question is that if…
