I haven't posted on the forums much at all......but I am pound of this so I thought I would share. Starting weight 293, current weight 218. Still a ways to go before I get to where I want to be, but I am proud of how far I have come. The first three pictures were taken in 2021 and 2022, and the last picture was taken June…

down 126lbs since 2/1/22
Finally broke a buck twenty five a few days ago, and finally under 300lbs for the first time in well over a decade. I've been putting in at least an hour a day of exercise, I usually try to do more, but work sometimes interferes. I've also been limiting food intake to 3-9pm, which has been mostly successful, although we…

Over 40 Ladies
Hi all, We know it only gets harder to lose weight the older we get. I myself have hit a spot where no matter how much I exercise or watch what I eat, the scale doesn't move. Then I just give up for a bit and try to convince myself that bygones are bygones and this phase in inevitable. But I don't want to give up. For the…

Rotated car tires
In 2020 before i started my diet I was in terrible physical shape. The thought of changing a car tire was scary. I could do it maybe. Today I just changed or rotated 4 car tires in 50 minutes and I didn't break a sweat. I feel great.

❓❓❓What hints do you have to not quit?
I've LOVE to hear your comments on what keeps you from quitting when things get hard. Be it an argument with a loved one, your boss, a bad day at work, a chronic illness, oh so many things!! INCLUDING when we gain and gain. One of my hints is to have support!! I NEED SUPPORT!!! I've lost 117 lbs, but even with that I STILL…

Daily Journal Streak
1772 days of logging all my foods. Sort of a 'thing' now that I don't ever want to miss a day because it might lead to more days skipped. Curiously, as a senior I never in my life have been on a diet. I'm a career chef/baker so there were always plenty of temptations (still are LOL). My original goal was to monitor…

Intermittent fasting - 30 pounds lost
In February, My doctor told me I had high triglycerides and needed to be on medicine unless something changed. Losing weight was one of the things I needed to do in order to get my levels in line. She gave me the list of foods to avoid such as red meat, fried foods, and processed carbohydrates. Also, she told me that she…

Calorie Burner
Today was a fab day - getting out in the old nine and hitting the road.. managed to burn over 1,000 calories which was great over a 40k bike run. I much prefer going a bike run for my cardio fix as opposed to running - just my preference 😊😊 Have a great day everyone 😊 x

Five years ago I ate half a hamburger….
…instead of the whole thing ( half the fries too) and started my weight loss journey while on vacation. I was on a cruise and finally owned up to the fact that I was 65 pounds over a heathy weight. Did I want to be like all those people who could barely move? No. So I started cutting my meals in half. As soon as I got home…

📜📜🖌🖌Its a never ending learning/trying experience, with pics (Before/After)
I've been at this since 2010. As you can see I've some success (Lost 117 lbs) How did I do this? At first at 288 lbs I was mostly using a power chair (97% of the time). It was 13 years ago my back Dr told me the pain was mostly my own fault (OHHHHH WAS I PISSED OFF OVER HEARING THAT!) but, in all fairness he was NOT…

Always the little things to notice.
I know everyone talks about how much weight they have lost but before you get there what was the little things you noticed in your weightloss? 13 years ago I began my journey at 352lbs. Over the course of 2.5 years I lost 212lbs. through tracking my nutrition and moving my body. I’ve maintained a healthy weight ever since. Consistency in the small stuff is what lead to such a dramatic transformation- crazy how that works, right? SO much of weight loss is MENTAL-…

Guess who didn't shop on the plus rack today?!?
Looks like, over the last 8 months, I've gone from a 3X to a 16! (This was at Sears Canada. Generally around here, sizes 16 and down are on the regular racks. Occasionally they'll shove in some 18s. Plus starts around 18-20). Skipped Laura's Plus and went right into the regular store, where I discovered that I was now a…
