New beginning
Hi my name is Louise. I’ve just started the gym and the beginning of my new journey. I’ve joined the classes and also a 8wk program with Georgia. In my first week I’ve lost weight and inches. I feel a lot better in myself. I can’t thank Georgia for all her support she is amazing.

Mini Goal reached and mini victory
So a little back ground. I have been over 200 pounds for about 13 years now. I have attempted many times to lose weight only to fall off the wagon and gain it all back plus some. This time I am determined to lose all of the excess weight and get back to a normal size. I am tired of hurting all the time and feeling…

Doing it differently this time
Hi there! In the past I have: -Had disordered thoughts about body image and food -Had extreme all or nothing thinking -Strived to be the smallest I could be while being healthy -Overexercised -Started hundreds if not thousands of diets -Skipped meals (would have been considered fasting if I had been older, but I was in…

We can do this!!
I just completed my first month and I have to say I feel completely different. I have a lot more energy and have had to make a couple new holes in my belt apart from feeling a bit looser on my big shirts. I've been consuming less than my calorie count and have done about 30 min of light jog and 30 min of intense HIIT…

I've lost 90 lbs!!!!
2 1/2 years! I truly never thought I'd lose as much as I have and feel as good as I do! Started out this journey bc I couldn't move from the couch. Living with Degenerative Disc Disease in your back SUCKS!! It's extremely painful and leaves you vulnerable to having bulging disc, another excruciating pain, among other…

Killin' it at 49 (and w/this app!)
I sat in defeat + depression in June of 2022. Didn't believe I could take control. Didn't believe I could erase two years of Covid induced, sedentary lifestyle + the 30lbs added to my frame. I changed soooo many little things to pull me out of that nosedive. I was teetering around 195lbs. Now I'm teetering around 165lbs.…

What Do You Notice? What Do You Wonder?
What Do You Notice? What Do You Wonder? Before I explain how I took off seventy plus pounds, I want to reminisce about the pictures above. In the photo on the top, weighing around 210 pounds, I wanted to look nice for my daughter’s college senior orchestra recital. I squeezed myself into two pairs of spandex so I could…

No more hypertension
after 61 days on MFP and working out 4-5 days a week, I started with extremely high blood pressure and today I'm on the low end of "pre-hypertension." My doc asked me if I wanted meds 3 months ago and I told him I would work on it myself and BOOM!

Been away for a while
Was on WW for a while and lost 27 lbs. Lost my momentum when they changed plans. Not their fault, all on me. I thought why would I pay money each month and not do the plan, when I can get support on MFP. Going forward this time, also taking Golo for Life. Hopefully, this combination will get me back on track.

65lbs off since 2017.
Medical issues force me to look at losing some serious weight. My doctor asked me, would I please lose ten pounds? I ignored my doc until one event change my thinking forever. Months later I rushed to the emergency room. I was informed that my A1C (average blood glucose for approximately the last 3 months) was 10.2 and my…

Made it to Onederland!
Onederland! And I am NEVER leaving it again. Today for the first time in over 5 years I'm under 200 lbs. That's 35 lbs down since July, only 20 lbs left to the first milestone of 180 lbs. After that, these fitness milestones are planned for next year - first pull up and first 100 mile bicycle ride.

Before and After... but not done yet
This is a pic of me last year when I started MFP back in March. I was over 236 pounds, but felt proud. Sad to say the weight came back. But the next photo is me now. I've lost 26 pounds since February and I'm not done year. I'm almost halfway to my goal, but just wanted to share. It can be done!

55-65 year old women's success?
Looking for some inspiration. I lost my "chronic" 40 lbs of overweight with reasonable ease at age 45, and maintained for a couple of years. However, my motivation at this age is different, and is my ability to exercise with the same intensity has also decreased. Now, i don't want to hear all that stuff about how "age is…

a different kind of success - resting heart rate

80lb weight loss in 1 year (53 yrs old)
Relentless mindset in achieving goals, adjust and adapt along the way, celebrate victories enthusiastically! In August of 2022, I made the decision to lose weight and focus on my overall health. I was overwhelmed at this seemingly impossible task. So, I did what Desmond Tutu once said about eating an elephant…you eat it…

Back here again for accountability
Hi, I'm back on MFP again after gaining 10lbs. My weight loss journey started just over 3 years ago when I found out a was pre Diabetic sitting at my highest weight ever. And at my lowest self esteem. I lost 50lbs over the 18 months. Then stayed at that weight for the 18 months. I felt like I had it under control. I guess…
