Somewhere just past the middle of my success story (pics)
So I’m 46 years old and 5’8”. After COVID I topped out at 350.1 pounds. Since September of 22 I have been trying to lose the weight. I dropped a bit and hit a snag after the holidays (yeah I know…made it through them and tanked after). I have always had a binge eating problem and could not kick it so now I use it as part…

33 pounds down
It was and is extremely hard to do this every single day. I was at my heaviest 4 months ago at 200 pounds and now I sit at 166lbs. 5”8. This is a battle day in and day out, I still feel guilt when I have “treat” meals but I realize sometimes my metabolism needs it. I had lost about 25 lbs in 2020 but it was extremely…

Athletic achievements
Hi, all! On again/ off again member of MFP. Almost 59 y.o. and work out 4 days a way. I see a lot of young bucks at the gym doing things I used to do (or never could!) and I was reminiscing about the good old days when I was an avid runner and weight lifter and was wondering what some of your personal best achievements…

Hi, wanted to share a little bit about how mentally draining and emotionally losing weight can be. After losing 45lbs, I want to be honest and say I still hate my body and maybe it’s even worst now. When I look at before and after I see woman who have filled out and made a significant difference in there appearance. I…

I’m Jeff from Fairhope, Alabama. I hope this helps: I have lost 163 pounds (352 to 189) I’m 6’0”. I will get down to 180. I am 46 years old. My BMI (if you care about that sort of thing) went from 47 to 26.5. My pants went from 48 to 34-32, depending on the cut. My shirts went from XXXLB to large or medium. My shoe size…

My First Six Weeks and Beyond
I'm going to be vulnerable here... It's been QUITE A JOURNEY, and I've tried to summarize as much as I could, but I hope it will inspire someone. After 17 years of dependence on medication, I got literally and figuratively tired of it. I began hospital stays and therapy, and with the help of my psychiatrist I managed to…

Keto, Diabetes, It’s working!
My name is Robert Dorrell and I have actively used MFP since early August for tracking weight loss and carb intake; on strict keto diet. It has become my best tool. I’ve seen enormous gains in blood sugar control and weight loss. I have succeeded with this plan where I have failed on WW many times. Down 50 pounds and blood…

70lbs down! Don't give up!
I just want to let anyone who is struggling or feeling defeated know that it's perfectly normal to have good days and bad days. There were times that I plateaued and got angry (and I know I will plateau again, but I need to remember how far I've come.) There were times everything hurt because exercise was hard on me and I…

Reducing my diabetes meds and lowest weight since high school!
Still in my health and weight loss journey but wanted to share this success. Type 2 diabetic since Fall 2020 - likely had been for several years prior but never took screenings seriously. Went to new PCP and they took labs - 12.8 A1c so I was diagnosed T2 diabetic and immediately put on 1000mg x 2 daily metformin and 5mg…

7 year badge?!
Incredible how fast time goes. I am still in this 7 years later. MFP helped me track and lose 30lbs 7 years ago. I have been up and down over the years but I have never been back to my heaviest. Next year I turn 40. My goal is to get to Onderland before my birthday. I am motivated bigtime. Nothing can stop me today.

100,000 steps in a day
I walked 100,000 steps in a day on 30th September. I did this in memory of my little brother who I lost to pancreatic cancer this summer, and to mark the 1st anniversary since losing my mum last year. The first half of the walk was fantastic, plenty of energy and some great surroundings and views. The last 30,000 steps…

150 pounds later
I'm 68 years old. I had a gastric bypass, which is only a tool. You have to work it. I COULD NOT HAVE DONE THIS WITHOUT MY FITNESS PAL. I logged every bite, every calorie, every glass of water, weighed once a week. I connected it to a Fitbit, which was free from Medicare. All my steps were logged. I still have 30 to go,…

It's the little things that add up
I really wanted to eat these peanut butter and chocolate chips that I'd bought for my husband....they were in the cabinet and calling my name after an AWFUL and stressful day, plus really bad PMS. But I just kept busy and went to bed without eating them. I feel good about that :) I feel like a good decision leads to more…
