Made it to Onederland!
Onederland! And I am NEVER leaving it again. Today for the first time in over 5 years I'm under 200 lbs. That's 35 lbs down since July, only 20 lbs left to the first milestone of 180 lbs. After that, these fitness milestones are planned for next year - first pull up and first 100 mile bicycle ride.

Before and After... but not done yet
This is a pic of me last year when I started MFP back in March. I was over 236 pounds, but felt proud. Sad to say the weight came back. But the next photo is me now. I've lost 26 pounds since February and I'm not done year. I'm almost halfway to my goal, but just wanted to share. It can be done!

55-65 year old women's success?
Looking for some inspiration. I lost my "chronic" 40 lbs of overweight with reasonable ease at age 45, and maintained for a couple of years. However, my motivation at this age is different, and is my ability to exercise with the same intensity has also decreased. Now, i don't want to hear all that stuff about how "age is…

a different kind of success - resting heart rate

80lb weight loss in 1 year (53 yrs old)
Relentless mindset in achieving goals, adjust and adapt along the way, celebrate victories enthusiastically! In August of 2022, I made the decision to lose weight and focus on my overall health. I was overwhelmed at this seemingly impossible task. So, I did what Desmond Tutu once said about eating an elephant…you eat it…

Back here again for accountability
Hi, I'm back on MFP again after gaining 10lbs. My weight loss journey started just over 3 years ago when I found out a was pre Diabetic sitting at my highest weight ever. And at my lowest self esteem. I lost 50lbs over the 18 months. Then stayed at that weight for the 18 months. I felt like I had it under control. I guess…

14 months ....90lb gone!
I've recommended my fitness Pal to soooo many people. I started last may, and took up running using the couch to 5k app initially. I have never ever been into exercise. I have 8lbs to go to my target and will then continue to use the app to maintain my weight. Started at size 20 clothes, now in a comfortable 10! I still…

Weight loss
Hello everyone, I want to share my weight loss journey. I have lost 10.5 kg (21.1 lbs) since beginning of January. I credit my weight loss to two main things: cutting sugar, sweets and desserts as much as possible and intermittent fasting. I do Pilates and aquagym once each per week and walk everywhere I can. I live in a…

Never Give Up
I regret letting myself go to the point I did (387 lbs in 07), but I’ve been on a long slow journey back and have now maintained 185 through nothing but diet, nutrition and exercise. It can be done. Never give up! Tagged: Maintenance Accountability Exercise Diet

I went from morbidly obese to 6 pack abs! Ask me Anything
I've always wanted to do an AMA so I thought I'd set one up here. The basics about my story are that I went from 315lbs to 195 and have been making small gains in muscles/losses to fat ever since. Ask me anything, anything at all! Add me as a friend on here too!

Empty closet
I’ve been shrinking since last November and have been taking things out of my closet every month and putting them in the donation pile as I get too small for them. Yesterday I realized my formerly filled closet is down to six shirts (all recently purchased at my new size), two pairs of pants (also new) and some scarves.…

Empty Closet
So we are getting ready to move, and the last thing I wanted to do was move my old fat clothes that don't fit anymore. I went through my closet, thinned it out, and now its almost empty! Got 2 bags of clothes going to Goodwill now! Got me to thinking now that this is kind of indicative of my life. My empty closet kinda…

Reversing Diabetes
I just wanted to share my immense joy with all of my MFP friends. Today I had my regular 3 month diabetes check up. My last check up, we talked about getting off of insulin & I had a blood test done where it said if there would be a chance or not. The results said I scraped by, by the spit on the gums of my teeth! So…

For those who have lost and gained and are losing again (what I've learned)
I'm not done losing yet, but I feel like I've made mental improvements I've never expected, and wanted to share what I've gone through. On the right, two before pictures of highschool and college. I've never been a thin person, even back in elementary, so the first successful attempt (on the left) was novel to me. More…

Cal in vs Cal out
Hi all Can someone please explain to me the difference of cal in vs cal out? I am 43 years young (haha) and I have not been able to drop any weight. I consistently, 6 days a week, work out. Programs included but not limited to 21 day fix, Zumba, Peloton and just straight walking. I have had ALL my levels checked, cortisol,…

I did it! Losing over 120 pounds...
I started my journey just under 2 years ago and honestly, I went into it with a negative mindset. I figured I would fail like so many times before. I started tracking using myfitnesspal and took one day at a time. I slowly started to incorporate exercise and focused on my mental health. Something clicked and I realized…
