1 Year Later
Welp, I didn't think I'd last a few days, much less a week. Here I am 1 year later, 100.2lbs lighter. Not saying it's a success story, as I'm still a good ways off my goal and I don't want to get ahead of myself, but I'm feeling good after biking 10 miles and felt like sharing. Good luck to everyone else in their journey…

Need a pep talk please
Logically I know that the number on the scale is just that, a number. My hands are feeling puffy this morning so it's probably water retention or allergies from something I ate. Or who knows it could be the barometric pressure from Hurricane Barry. I've been exercising like a fool and decided to wait one month to weigh.…

July 2018 to July 2019. What a difference a year makes!
About a year ago, I went to a wedding and wore this dress, this scarf, and was seated and a picture was taken. The picture I took yesterday is close to the same attitude but I couldn't get it exactly right with my phone. But here goes... July 2018 - approx 254 lb July 2019 - 198! Onederland! I'm on my way...........

Tuesday makes 5 week target
What's up peeps. When I started this journey 5 weeks ago, I weighed in at 195. And I've gone down to 179. I set a goal for 5 weeks to hit 175. So with hard work outs twice a week and eating better thanks to MFP, I'm close to my goal!!! Hopefully Tuesday is kind to me and I can achieve this challenge and mark it complete!

Left for vacation at 300 lbs with a goal to maintain for a week
I went on vacation to my in-laws' for 8 days including a total of 3 days driving. We ate out most every night except the one night I made dinner. I didn't have access to a scale all week and I was 300.8 lbs the day we left. I logged everything and I was a "good kid" on the trip, mostly. We did a lot of walking and…

NSV in the literal storms of life
Tropical Depression coming through - Thunderstorms and Lightening at walk time. Could have rolled over and went back to sleep. Discipline means not caving to how you feel but completing the rituals which bring results. Popped in the Jillian Michaels 30 day shred dvd. By the time I finished that it stopped raining - made it…

Losing weight in the beginning
Has anyone else after beginning to lose weight thought maybe they weren’t losing and the scale was just wrong? I’ve lost 35 pounds all together (the half of which was done without MFP took years) and its almost surreal to me. I weigh less now than I did in my teens.

First big goal was hit! ONEDERLAND
Finally down to the 100’s again. This was the first big goal I set for myself when I started at 222 in March, and today I weighed in at 198.6! So happy! Next goal is 175, which is the highest weight where I still feel good about the way I look. Hopefully I can reach it before my 30th in October!

What New Things have you down since your lost weight....................
I thought this would be interesting to see what new activities/food you have tried since you lost your weight. I found that since I lost my weight 200 pounds gone I am more daring to try new stuff. I'm wearing bright clothes more now no more hiding behind black and dark clothing. I enjoy the outside more and need to move…

How I Lost Weight 10 Years Ago
I used to be fairly overweight as a teenager, I remember that I was somewhere around 220 pounds at around 16 years old. It was really embarrassing and it took a toll, but everything changed for me when I started vegetarianism. I actually did a hybrid diet of vegetarian and pescetarian (one who only eats fish). Anyways, I…

Week 4 keto down 4 more pounds. Total 19.8
So keto is working well for me. First month down and nearly 20 pounds lost. Do I expect that every month? hahahaha no. Maybe 5-10. My body is getting used to the carb absence and I'm able to do longer workouts. Not what I used to do, but I'm building up to it. Very proud of myself for sticking with it, especially after…

Changing up my gym schedule. Still looking for the right combo to keep the scale moving in the right direction and the tone to start showing up. Have been at it since October. Have lost 10 pounds so far. Lost 7 inches overall. Looking to loose 70 pounds total and get toned (not bodybuilder just toned). I know this is going…

Tomorrow marks my 52nd weigh in! I’ve lost 86lbs in the last year. I’m not at my goal weight yet but I never thought I’d get here and I’m so proud to have done it this time once and for all! I still have 10-12lb to go, but I’m considering this a success so far! MFP has been amazing and a huge factor in keeping me on track,…

I’ve lost 44.1 lbs & Wife lost 18.9 in 7 weeks!
The two of us started on May 12th and have seen great results. We’re doing the Atkins diet and absolutely love the low carb lifestyle. The numbers are certainly moving in the right direction. I’m still a very long way from my goal, but certainly glad we took this first step by deciding to do low carb. Thank you to all of…

170 days Final Target achieved
All through my life I have struggled with weight and can still remember being 16.5 stone at the age of 16 some 30 years ago, back when being overweight was not the norm (and caused much ridicule). Over the years I have had some reasonable losses but have always been on the high side of normal. 2 years ago I picked up a…

Success with Only No Sugar Plan
I’m too busy to exercise and I refuse to diet for fear of the yo-yo that I grew up watching my mother play. Starve, gain, starve, gain more. My clothes were getting too tight, then I went two sizes larger. I had to do something. So, I cut out sweets. Guess what. It is working! I’ve lost 11 lbs in a month. I’m smaller now…
