Lost 60 Pounds on Keto and IF so far
Hey Guys, I thought i would introduce myself here, I actually haven't used myfitnesspal for a long time, but just read all the success stories tonight and wanted to post my own. Maybe it can be motivational to someone who is struggling or stalling with their weight loss. The basics: My starting weight was 253 pounds in the…

Officially 50 lbs down!
Hey ya'll! I have been very private about my weight loss journey but I promised myself that once I lost 50 lbs I would celebrate myself by making a post in this discussion forum! 5 and a half months later, here I am! I began my journey at 230 lbs and as of my weigh in last week I am at 180. I know that seems like a lot of…

1 Month in on the Atkins 20 Diet. Down 26 lbs & Wife down 12!
We couldn’t be happier! We have been very disciplined at what we are doing, and have cut soooo many bad foods from our lives. Today marks the 1 month mark of our journey, and while I still have 120 to go to my ultimate goal, this first month has been AMAZING!!! More motivated than ever, and appreciate all of you, and your…

Arms before & after photos
I’m looking to see people’s before and after arm pics! I’ve got a lot to lose, but I’m really curious to see how your arms turned out. One of my arms (strangely, but thankfully, not both!) has a fat roll and I always have to wear sleeves because I’m so embarrassed between that, stretch marks, etc. I’m wondering if there’s…

No change in inches and weight gain
I'm on week 4, have counted calories, jogging 3 times a week plus some toning exercises at home. I keep gaining every week, and not lost any inches. Just looking for encouragement that it's normal. Because it's very disheartening. I'm only trying to lose a few lbs, it's mostly about toning up and getting fit. But the…

Weight loss plateau
Hey everyone! I lost 44 pounds and now I hit a weight loss plateau where I’m not losing any weight anymore. I’d like to lose more but I’m not sure how to break this plateau. I already eat nutrient dense food, no processed food, barely eat out, drink a lot of water, cut out most carbs and consume mostly plant based and…

Early January vs Today Progress
I’m down about 20 pounds after 6 months of a 500 calorie/day deficit and lifting 4 days a week (zero cardio). I’ve been doing supersets and compound lifts with alternating set and rep schemes of 10/8/6, 5x5, and 4x8 on work sets, while focusing on progressive overload. Although it’s been hard to keep adding weight to the…

Believe me hasn't been easy I've been going to the gym working out eating well then all off of sudden fall off the wagon and gain weight back. Now I am currently about 184 lb. I still…

Getting discouraged Maintenance people how did you get through the rough patches?
I was a success story. My first attempt at more than 20 pounds was 1995 when I started WW to loose the "baby fat" after my 2nd child was born. It came off quickly. I learned portion control and loved 5ks and 10ks just walking. He's now 24 and getting married in January. There would be several more focused attempts to make…

Body transformation without obvious weight loss - photos?
Scales can't tell you the full story, and the weight fluctuates every day, especially if you're a woman and your lady days are approaching. So I'm wondering if you have experience seeing the same (or just slightly changed) weight on the scales, but feeling lighter and with visible differences in the body. Any photos would…

Did anyone else measure their inches when they started?
I took a tape measure and measured pretty much everything when I started and recorded it. I also took a before picture of myself. I measured my thighs, waist, hips, chest, etc. I'm just wondering if anyone measured how many inches they lost.

I finished a half marathon
Yesterday I completed a half marathon. I have been steadily using MFP to keep my eating under control, and my Garmin 645/Music to train. The preparation, and the actual event all went really well. I want to keep making progress, but I also want to dial it down for a little while. Briefly 'dial down' not 'stop, and…

The Ultimate Before and After 30 Day Shred Thread
I see a lot of people that have completed the 30 day shred and have posted their success stories. I thought it would be very motivating to have a thread dedicated to the results people see from their journey through the 30 day shred. Whether it's before and after pictures, how your measurements/weight has changed since you…

Made It to Goal Weight!
It took 22 weeks, and I’m here. Yes! I’m 49, 5’5”. Starting weight was 146, at the very top of my healthy BMI range. So while the situation wasn’t dire, all my clothes (U.S. size 10/medium) were very tight and I wasn’t happy with the way I looked or felt. My goal weight was 129. I started with 1200 calories per day, but…
