It is Thursday...
And my arms are killing me. I worked out my upper body on Monday and am just now feeling the results. Usually when I workout I can tell the next day, but it has been three days and wow are they hurting...muscles that I didn't even know I had! Any suggestions on why this may be or how to help take the pain away?

what a great article I just found
I love the topic of how exercise and stress relates to the body and it's metabolic systems (I.E. how we burn fuel). I found a great article that talks about stress, training, and cortisol. I have more in depth knowledge about this if anyone wants to learn more, but this is a great article that most "layman" can understand.…

Lifting and hunger
I lift fairly heavy twice a week. Heavy enough that I can barely finish my last set, and I feel it the next day. On these days, I am STARVING later in the day. Cardio and Bikram don't do this to me. . .in fact they both seem to lessen my appetite. Is there a scientific reason for this? It's legitimate hunger, not just "I…

Exercise Tip!!!!
  it just occurred to me that my hour on the treadmill goes much faster if I look at it as 12 songs. I use my blackberry as an mp3 player. Then I put my 12 favorite songs on the playlist. I absorb myself into each one and when it ends I am 5 minute closer to finished! Except right now I'm typing this instead…
