Weight Training Calories
Why doesn't the tracker count in calories burnt while weight training? I know it's not a TON, but it's some, and I feel like I'm burning all day (maybe it's just the pain :wink:). Cardio is great - and I do a ton of it (more each week!), but I feel like MFP doesn't think weight training is good enough :sad:

30 Day Shred: Monday Check-in (2/23)

Help with Balance?
I am on week 6 of he P90X program. I am getting better at all of the execises, except the ones that require balance. I cannot keep my balance on most of the one legged exercises. I thought yoga would help, but no luck :ohwell: Does anybody know of some good moves I can do to improve my balance?

Nintendo WII-Wii fit
Has anyone tried the wii-fit and had any success with it? I have been looking in to it because it looks pretty interesting in the TV ads and online, but I've not really talked to anyone who uses it on a regular basis.

New Balance VIA Wrist Pedometer
Could anybody help me with converting KCal into cal? I bought a wrist pedometer yesterday, plugged in my info and I am not able to figure out how to convert. How come my treadmill gives me a different reading of calories burned than the tracking system on here ? The treadmill gave nearly a 100 more. :noway:

So I took the plunge and bought Wii Fit today. LOVE IT! In 20 minutes I burned 300 calories (according to HRM) thru hoola hooping, jogging, and stepping. I'm going to do more this evening. My new favorite toy. So for everyone holding out, it's worth it.

Y'all running today?! I ran somewhere between 10 and 11 miles this morning in Beautiful Austin, Texas! It was a great run, but I sure am beat now! First time running over 8 miles in about 5 years!

I was wondering when working out is it best to do the random where the resistance levels change intermitently or the manual? I am considering buying a heart rate monitor for the first time. I'm quiet confused with all the HRMs out there. I want a heart Rate monitor with a strap (its more accurate), counts calories obviously, counts laps and water resistant. Any recommendations?
