Shin Splints..
I have noticed that if I jog, run or walk faster then normal, I get shin splints. I have changed my shoes to athetic shoes, with lots of padding, but I find that it didnt really help. I am pretty new to this. So, I have a question for all of you. Please help me! I am allowed 1200 cal a day which I have been really good at. I eat no more than that on days that I don't exercise but on days that I do exercise I am burning at least 400-500 cal. Should I be eating those cal or just the 1200 on workout days??…

can certain workouts hurt u in the long run?
If a few days you work some mucsles that have not been worked really hard so that you can get rid of bad areas, but after that you don't work out there again because you would have to do the unnatural exersises to work those muscles. would all that turn into worse flab?

day 2 of week 2 hitting the gym
Another decent workout- did cardio and worked my legs today and I burned 544 per my HRM- as long as I burn a min of 500 calories Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday I am fine because on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday I am able to workout longer to burn extra calories I like to burn anywhere from 3500-5000 calories a week..

Ok when I first got my HRM I had to do this test to see what my max. heart rate is. How often should I be doing this test?? Or should I have to do it again?? I always change my weight on my HRM but it just seems sometimes that Im reading a lot higher than a lot of other people on here.
