Don't understand the exercise logging
Why is it that working out with weights does not affect your daily calorie numbers, whereas cardio exercise does? The weightlifting burns calories, too, right? And I would think it would be more accurate (say I moved 100 pounds 2 feet per rep for 3 sets of 12 reps. . .that would be simple to figure out the calories,…

Oh my gosh, I've been drinking so much water!
  Just thought I'd share!!!  I am on number 9. And, aside from the Jack and Diet I plan on having once I get home tonight, I will continue to drink water. I'd say another 8 glasses easily. Is that too much? I've been to the bathroom at least once an hour! I'm not sure if I'll be able to get…

30 Day Shred- level 2
Has anyone noticed less calories burned with level 2? I have done level 2 twice now, and I only burn about half as many cals as I do with level 1. I know I'm not working less, I am busting butt on level 2, it is so hard. I'm sore and hurting after I'm done. Level one on the other hand, I can do straight through. I'm tired…

That number cant be right!
So I did the eiliptical trainer today. I did it for 12 minutes on level 9 (high intensity), and was pouring sweat. My heart rate even got up to 178. However, the exercise log on here says I burned 160 cals. I just dont think that can be right! I feel like I burned wayyyyy more than that.

Deep Sleep Diet
Deep Sleep Diet Add a good night's sleep to your checklist of helpful weight-loss aids. Sleep deprivation interferes with appetite-suppressing hormones, increases stress hormone levels, and decreases a person's glucose tolerance, all of which may contribute to weight gain. Another way sleep loss may help pile on the…

New abdominal exercise....
I discovered this last night and it is GUARANTEED to help you flatten that tummy. 1. Lie on your bed on your back and try and go to sleep. 2. Have your 25 pound cat jump onto the bed and land right in the middle of your stomach. This of course will cause your stomach muscles to immediately contract. 3. Have the cat make…

Leg weights and overextension
So, I had researched running/walking with leg/ankle weights and the response I found was a resounding, "DON'T DO IT!" Apparently your muscle memory gets used to the weight being there, and when you suddenly don't have the weight there, your muscles will overcompensate, possibly tearing themselves, or causing other havok.…

Does using wrist weights count as strength training?
I used 1.5 lb wrist weights while doing 40 minutes on the treadmill today. I swung my arms the whole time (as I was instructed to do on a website I found). I know it helps to burn more calories, but how do I log it? If I put it under "Strength Training" in the Cardio log for 40 minutes it says that I have burned 191…
