I was wondering what was considered high impact in respects to aerobics? Do I need a HRM??
Hi guys, simple question really, but Do i need a hrm to figure out how many calories I am burning in the gym? I always thought the exercise machines (elliptical, treadclimber, bike, etc) would measure that automatically? What is your opinion please? Thank you.

Hi everyone, was wondering if anyone knew a way or website to track calories from lifting weights. This site has great calorie tracking for diet and cardio but lifting burns calories as well. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. B

any tricks/tips to make running a little easier to do? i think maybe its because the whole time i'm looking at the clock going "omg, its only been three minutes?!" and i already feel like i'm dying. some good music pumps me up fairly well. i guess i just need to get outta this mental state im in. :grumble:

carrying a not so small child
At least a couple of times a week I will carry my 50 pound three year old on my shoulders ( being the quicker way to get around) I am sure that this qualifies as exersize but am unsure what to log it under ideas anyone?

Trying too hard!!
I've done really well and dropped 5 pound in one month. However, I'm stuck. I work my *kitten* off (sorry for the language) and nothing. What gives? Does anyone have the same ordeal and how do you get through it. I'm guessing just to keep going. If you burn more than you intake it's gotta come off right? Thanks in advance…

GOOD MORNING!!! I'm feeling great this morning! I did another 11 miles last night even though my knee was hurting. I stuck to my calories last night and it felt great! Today I'm hoping to get in at least 15 miles! But it all depends on my knee. Well I'm off to get ready to go "pin" my husband's new rank on him!!! (Army)

Hey y'all! Am I the first to post for today??? I wasn't going to run today, but went anyway. I'm SO GLAD I did because I ended up going 7 and 1/2 miles and felt awesome! YAY for Friday! I'm drinking some wine tonight and crossing my fingers that my baby will sleep.

Elliptical calories burned. Is the real?????
I have been using the MFP calculator to enter my exercises and the numbers don't match. I enter my weight on the elliptical machine and the number is much less on the machine, which should I use? I have checked other websites to verify elliptical calories burned and they mirror those provided by MFP.
