Constantly eating over my calories and struggling to maintain a deficit. What do you guys do?! Help!
Hello people of MFP. I could use input on what I can do to maintain my calories or see if I'm doing something wrong. About me: 28F, SW:181, CW:173, GW:150. My daily limit is 1400 cals/day but I'm averaging 1700 - and often eat closer to 2000. I do light jogging twice a week and on other days I walk an hour a day and do 30m…

Acceptable Late Night Snacks?
So I’m a night owl, and when the rest of my family is asleep I often find I want to catchup on TV I’ve missed and want a small snack (normally salty or sweet). Anyone have a good suggestion for crave-able late night snacks that won’t bust my daily calorie goals?

If you know you’re going to have a high calorie meal at night...
How can I curb the hunger during the day so I can save my calories for then? Every Wednesday, my best friend and I get a big grilled chicken salad and French fries with pita bread and it’s ~1000 cal or so. How do I stay full all day until 8 pm when we eat it? Thanks!

Exercise almost 💯, eating… help me
Hey everyone! Hope y’all are doing well. I’m finally starting to get tired of my eating habits. I’m struggling to keep my 3 square meals a day. I take a medication that sort of stunts my appetite during the day so I like doing that half asleep eating at night, which is horrible. Breakfast is fine because meds kick in late…

Aquafaba?
I've never heard of this. I'm going to try it for dinner! What is aquafaba? Aquafaba is the liquid that is in a can of chickpeas. When you use chickpeas save it to use in all kinds of recipes such as these oil-free roasted potatoes and vegan baking. It freezes well so if you open a can and have no need for the aquafaba…

Vitamix owners
I’ve been wanting one for a few years now. I’d be thrilled with a Vitamix or a Blendtec. I currently use a $70 Ninja for my smoothies which I make several times per week. My Ninja works “okay” but man would I love to be able to get that super smooth smoothie consistently. My issue is that our kitchen is tiny and we don’t…

Need Encouragement
Started IF and Ketoish diet on 5/31. Today I’m down 9 lbs. Yes it’s water weight, but still 9lbs less. Today I ran into the grocery store for some cheese and darn it, right in my face were these personal sized key lime pies!! Excuses I made in my head were, well, I’ll just have a little piece and give the rest to my…

Very low iron consumption...
Hi everyone, so I started the app 6 days ago and I am really shocked at my low iron and calcium consumption! I never had a problem with anaemia and feel fine. I do not eat red meat (for ethical reasons) so guess this is the cause of the low iron. Apart from taking supplements (I am reluctant to take iron as it really upset…

Question about weighing bone-in meat
Here's the question. I have chicken drumsticks w/skin and the package has nutritional information per 100g. Do I weigh the raw chicken with bones to figure out the 100g serving or does the meat/skin need to come off the bones to be weighed? I know I need to weigh raw but the meat comes off better once it's cooked. Help?

Something odd about total calories
If you take a look at my totals for today, the Total calories don't actually add up properly if you multiply the protein and carbs grams x 4 and the fat grams by 9. The report says I fall short by 246 calories, but doing the math above, I fall short by only 26. Where are the other 220? What am I missing?

Help with Breakfast Choices - Peanut Butter on Wheat Toast or Turkey Bacon?
Hello, I tend to eat (3) hardboiled eggs and either: (2) 40 calorie pieces of whole wheat toast with 1 Tablespoon of Peanut Butter between them (175calories), or (4) pieces of turkey bacon (140 calories). Putting aside that calling Turkey Bacon "bacon" is an affront to bacon and pigs everywhere, which is the better choice…

Tips for going dairy free
I need to cut out dairy temporarily while breastfeeding because my baby is just not handling the proteins too well. I pretty much live off of dairy so if anyone has any tips or food ideas to help me navigate this new journey, I’d appreciate it! SOS.... rainy holiday weekend suggestions
Normally, I would be out by the pool for Memorial Day weekend.........however, this year, the weather is having a tantrum. It will be 57-60 and rainy here in northern VA and my instinct will be to eat and watch movies for most of the day. Going to the gym will only take up a couple of hours each day, so I'll likely be…
