How do you record marinades?
I'm just curious how you would claim marinades, like in beef jerky for example. I get that the meat is going to soak up the flavors (sort of the point), but then afterwords you only take out the meat, and throw away the rest of the marinade. I feel like you shouldn't claim the whole thing, because its not like your making…

How do you dress up canned soup?

I had some fajita chicken that I made last night left over it was just chicken breasts, little mccormick taco seasoning and evoo. I added that to my select harvest soup and it was great! How do you dress up your canned soup if you eat it.

For a long time I've avoided the Natural Food aisle and grocery stores like Trader Joe's and Whole foods because of some misconceptions (I thought food would be too expensive, I thought I wouldn't like "natural" foods). Yesterday I took a trip throught he Natural food aisle and was surprised to find there was food there…

There are no BAD ingredients, but when companies want to mak
I feel happy and have fun shopping for good things to make meals from but dislike most of the "added value" stuff that is sold on the basis of saving me time. I have time to sit in front of a screen don't I? Acquiring the skills required to buy good ingredients, and cook them till they're gorgeous is so important to me,…

Frustrated...not sure what is the best thing to do
So I ordered Pumpkin Bread French Toast from a local restaurant (independent, so absolutely no nutrition information to be found...and I think they'd probably raise their eyebrows if I asked for them to start making info available). It was so delicious and I figured I could find an approximation on the database. I only ate…

Grow Your Own Food
There seems to be lots of branded foods claiming to be good for dieting, where someone else makes lots of money out of other peoples problems. Making food from scratch takes time and a little bit of effort, but it may change your relationship with food. And you save money. And you get better at it. And it's fun. I've also…

This is going to be really hard for me. Any suggestions to help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't feel hungry, should I eat lunch?
I'm sure this has been covered before but it's right before lunch for me and it's on my mind! If you don't feel hungry, should you eat your regular meal anyway, or wait until you feel like it? I almost never don't feel like eating - food is normally all I can think about, and I'll eat normally even when not hungry. I…

How often are you in the green?
Not sure what everyone else has on their food diary, but mine is Calories, Carbs, Fiber, Sugar, Fat and Sodium.
