Random, but veiny hands?
My hands are very veiny. To a certain degree they always have been even since I was little which I think may potentially be genetic since my grandmas and aunts all had veiny hands. But lately I've noticed my veins become so prominent, I look dead lol. What does this mean? My friends and family have noticed it and made fun…

30 different fruit and veg per week - do you manage?
See question: do you manage to get 30 different fruit and veg per week? Coffee/tea and spices/herbs/garlic/olive oil count as 1/4 point. Highly processed food doesn't count. I don't think I manage because I live alone, have limited fridge/freezer space and can't buy big amounts of fruit and veg because I simple can't store…

Portion weighing question
This is a newbie question, even though I have been doing this weightloss for a bit. I have been through the guessing and estimating portions and found that over time, I was using too many of my deficit calories by not accurately reporting everything. This last 6 weeks I have been accurately reporting and it does make a…

Inaccurate calorie info
Hi. Just wanted to post on here that I am finding that a lot of the calorie info on products is incorrect. I have used this app for a long time and found it difficult to lose weight, even though logging food etc. I’ve only just discovered by checking food packaging that a lot of the calories info is way off. Just a warning…

Protein powder and bloating.
I'm trying to eat more protein, and am experimenting with a protein powder. Just 15gr vegan powder. It gives me quite a lot of bloating though. Are there other options? Note: I have special dietary needs. I need a fair amount of carbs to function at all. And normally, too much protein without added fat results in reflux.…

Meal Prepping
I’ve always was challenged with planning ahead when it comes to meals and what I’m gonna eat throughout the day. I’m more of a heat of the moment kinda person. For the most part. The most prep I really do is decide what protein I want for dinner and take it out to thaw. It’s really hard for me mentally to plan out every…

Let's Talk Pro-Chocolate: Real Kinds We Like, How We Eat/Use Them
We don't seem to have a chocolate thread - at least not a recent one - though many people seem to like chocolate, and continue to eat some while losing weight and/or maintaining. From reading, it seems like a common strategy is to go to higher-quality chocolate, in smaller portions. This is a thread to talk about great,…

Do you take a potassium supplement?
After much trial and error I finally seem to be able to hit my macro and micronutrient targets most days. The only exception is potassium. I’m consistently at least 1000mg low every day. I’m a vegetarian and I eat lots of fruits and vegetables but I just don’t like bananas, which of course have lots of potassium. I’m…

Gut health plan vs my food log
I’m confused. I started the gut health series which says 25 grams of fiber is a goal for women. Yesterday I ate 24.9g of fiber and my log indicate I was over my recommended 21g. Also I was way over on carbs. I eat Bobs red mill oatmeal for breakfast which logs as 33 carbs and an apple which logs as 19 carbs. Just that meal…
