Egg whites sour smell?
I've been using the Lucerne brand Liquid egg (egg whites) for 3 years now and the past 3 or 4 cartons have had a strange kind of sour smell. The first time I could tell they looked off when I poured them out of the pan, after that I've noticed they have a weird smell as soon as I opened the new carton so I'm starting to…

Protein intake
A diet that has gone viral is called 30-30-30. Part of which says to eat thirty grams of protein within thirty minutes of waking up. Researching it on a medical website. I found "20 to 25 grams. That means the most your body can absorb in one sitting is around 25 grams of protein. In this case, “one sitting” refers to the…

Need more protein in my diet!
I'm just looking at my diet, and I'm eating too much processed meats and not enough healthy low fat proteins. I eat eggs quite often, but how can I get more lean meats and low fat protein? I'm eating healthy things like cantalope and apples. But then my carb and sugar counts are way over the suggested amounts. Ground Beef Calories
My question is this: when given a calorie count for, say, 4 oz of 85%/15% ground beef, does it include the fat that cooks out and stays in the pan or not? If so, how do you account for the calories of fat left there that you don't eat? It seems to me that no matter what kind of ground beef you buy, you cook the vast…

Calorie confusion!
I’m trying to log this Pret muesli pot for breakfast, but the app gives *such* different calorie counts for the same thing and I’m paralyzed about which to choose. How many calories would you estimate for breading tilapia?
Plain tilapia is bland as hell, but when breaded it's quite good. I know the calories for the tilapia, which would be about 4.8 ounces == 132 calories (mostly protein), and I'm wondering if anyone can ballpark the additional calories after breading it? I realize it may depend on many factors including the brand, which I…
