Virtual Triathlon!
I hope this is OK in the guidelines... had it all typed up and then wondered. I apologize if not. I receive no incentive from it, if that makes a difference, just thought it was a fun idea with so many unable to do life as usual. My first ever Sprint Tri was scheduled for next month but has been postponed until October…

One month in little results please help
Hi I'm one month into keto and have only lost 7lbs. With over 100 lbs to lose I was really hoping it would go faster. If anyone has info on what I might be doing wrong please help. Walking on treadmill for at least 1 hour a day drinking at least 70 oz water. Haven't gone out of ketosis at all. Opening diary so you can see.…

Eat calories burned
So I’m curious.......I’m trying to lose weight, and based on MFP I should be eating 1550 calories. If I end up burning 400 calories, can I eat those back?

What's with the loose stools? LOL...
Yeah, I know, TMI. I'm not about to go to a Dr about this right now, but what's with the loose stools? I've been working out a lot more and running, and for months now (since January), basically since I started running I've had loose stools. It's not awful, but it's kind of annoying. What gives? I'm also slow loosing a…

Sedentary vs lightly active
Trying to decide which I should pick. Starting today, I am watching my 2 great nephews ages 6 weeks and 2 years during the week. I would not call myself active but i am up and down getting bottles. cups, toys, food, and sometimes carrying one or the other, either 30 something or about 12 lbs. but much of the day I am…

Ways to be "Lightly Active"
I've gone from never stopping and constantly out and about moving to sitting around the house over the last few days. In this current UK lockdown situation I'm very limited in what I can do so please give me some ideas to bump up my activity level. At the moment I'm redoing couch to 5K so that gets me out of the house for…

Is it a *Woosh* or unsustainable weight loss?
Just wondering if there was any advice on how to tell if something is a *woosh* or unsustainable loss? According to Libra my long term weight loss rate over the last 6 months is .6 lbs a month, but my 7 day weight loss is 2.7 lbs. The first couple days I stepped on the scale I just figured it was a *woosh*, and I'm used to…

Question for MFP Vets
If you follow MFP directions explicitly, logging precisely, over a controlled time period, how accurate are the provided weight loss predictions. It would be nice to hear some anecdotal testimony.

Gains, pains, and mind games. Advice appreciated!
Hi guys, this has probably been asked before but my search queries have been pretty limited so here it goes! After a year off from exercising (first half because work-life balance did not exist, second half of the year I broke my ankle), I recently got back into it and am following a calisthenics program. It's been two…

How Are You Staying on Track During All This?
How are you staying on track during your voluntary (or otherwise) lockdown? I am sooooo tempted to boredom eat, but I didn’t work my *kitten* off for a year and a half to revert to bad habits. I made sure any foods I stocked up on were staples, and were comparatively healthy. Did not stock up on snacks, other than yogurt…

URGENTLY IMPORTANT
French Health Minister Olivier Veran warned on Twitter against the use of IBOPROFEN and CORTISONE in the event of a coronavirus infection. The official announced that these drugs allegedly exacerbate the disease caused by the new virus, and ACETOMINOPHEN should be used instead.

Coffee anytime?
I love coffee. But, recently I've limited the number of cups and the time when I drink coffee. So at the moment only 2 large cups and before 10am. Does anyone else do this? I have noticed a general improvement in multiple things. Energy levels are more stable in the afternoon and evening. Weight loss is more stable. I'm…

The notion that trying to lose weight is pointless and harmful
I'm sorry that I keep starting new threads. I'm just still trying to get a handle on my current mindset. Thanks for bearing with me. There's this notion in the body positivity/ intuitive eating community that weight loss is completely futile. That the more you try, the more weight you will eventually regain. They site some…

Obese and losing inches but not weight for months
I’ve drastically changed my lifestyle from the beginning of January,so over 2 months. I went from eating chips, pasta, pizza, and pop all day everyday to a much healthier diet. I ate out 5 times per week on average. I gave up pop completely, chips and eating out I only do once a week at most and in a small amount. I focus…

I Have Noticed Many People Returning, Having Regained Their Weight ...
So, I want to hear your personal stories as to why you regained the weight, and what you would do differently with hindsight. Would you have stayed on mfp longer, tracking, until you had been in maintenance for a year? Would you have lost weight less aggressively so that it was easier to adjust to maintenance? Was your…

What's the most accurate and convenient way to measure your body fat?
What's the most accurate and convenient way to measure your body fat? I bought one of those skinfold calipers and they are very unreliable: the result varies depending on which part of the skinfold I measure.

Big Shout Out
Can I just give a big shout out to all my MFP friends who are still recording workouts, staying under goal, on their umpteenth day of unbroken log-in steaks, and even showing losses? The boards are so quiet I was worried many people were caving in to stress and depression. WAY TO GO, PEOPLE!!!

How do I adjust my calorie intake on MFP?
The MFP calculator has set me at 1200cals per day. But I've discovered I lose weight better at 1400 (no idea why). I'd love to reset as it's a bit demoralising to keep getting the message that I'm over my goal. Is it possible to over-ride it and reset calorie goals?

Loosing pounds-not seeing a change.
So I’m curious as to the possible cause of weight loss but no visable change? I’ve lost 16lbs (9% of my starting weight). No inches lost-clothes fit the same-can’t tell a difference in the mirror. Muscle lbs have gone down as well as body fat mass according to smart scale. I’m 3 months in. Exercise has been daily aerobic,…

I started intermittent fasting and like it.
I started intermittent fasting last Saturday so I'm a week in and I quite like it. Now I am not an expert on the subject but I don't eat past 8 PM and then first meal of the day 11:30 AM. I assume that counts but in any event it's what I am doing and it's not as hard as I thought it would be and it's a sense of…
