Ive been on MFP for about 3 years now, I went from 217-158 and recently (over the past year) have gained about 25 pounds back, its been about 3 months of trying to lose weight and I have just maintained this entire time. I never got to my…

Vibration trainers
What are people’s thoughts on vibration trainers? I got one as a gift and I’m enjoying using it so far. I’ve heard a lot of good things from others that have used them but I know the research on them is inconclusive at best. So, thoughts?

Fitbit and stair treadmill
How do you get an accurate reading doing the stair treadmill? The closest so far is letting my arm swing when stepping (how it naturally does, just feel stupid doing this). I've been putting it on my ankle with a velcro strap but also like monitoring my heart rate. It counted one step out of 210 flights of stairs…

Can’t lose weight
I’ve been using MyFitnessPal truthfully for 6 months now. I’m 205lbs and have averaged 2100 calories a day and 1h 9m a day exercise for the entire time. I did lose a bit to start with but nothing for 5 months. I used to drink a lot more alcohol before I started this, now it’s normally just once a week. Exercise has been…

Apple Watch steps giving me no calories burned
I recently switched from a FitBit to an Apple Watch, and I notice a huge difference now in my calories burned per day. It seems Apple Watch will only give me calories burned for exercise I have tracked using the Apple Watch workouts, whereas Fitbit used to give me some calories burned from steps along with workouts. I find…

I need support
I haven't been as active on the boards as I have been in the past. I'm still maintaining my weight and was lifting up until this week. I've had multiple rounds of antibiotics for an abscessed tooth, and Monday morning I got hit with C.Diff. I'm not sure if everyone knows what that is, but it's the big warning in the…

7 reasons you might be gaining weight - Yahoo! article
https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/7-reasons-why-youre-gaining-163800605.html I think this article has a lot of good info in it, and some great suggestions on how to turn things around if you're trying to lose weight. The only part that seems fishy to me is the section about the time of day you eat, but who knows. I think…

Fitbit and insomnia? Surely not
I got a Fitbit for Christmas and the only time I take it off is when I'm in the shower. I however noticed my sleep got worse. I'm an early riser anyway but I was finding it difficult to get to sleep and to stay asleep. Sometimes my Fitbit records I'd only slept for 3 hours and I go to work shattered. Anyway, last night I…

Hi, I’m new here and only a couple of weeks in. My first week I lost almost 10 pounds of which I know was water weight. I just weighed myself and I only lost .9 pound! Lesson learned...I am finally losing weight again!
I have been religiously tracking every bite of food I eat for several years and going to the gym the last 9 months for 3 days a week and physical therapy 2 days a week. Oddly enough my weight loss COMPLETELY stalled! I had horrible pains recently in my back (unrelated, it's arthritis) and my doc forbade me from working out…

Training for a 10K
I'm wondering if anyone has any advice for how to train for a 10K run, how quickly I could train in, and any tips in general? Body Fat % on Scale Barely Nudging
I've lost 12 lbs since January 1st. Yay for that. But my body fat has only gone down 1%. At this rate, I'll end up with a body fat % in the mid-30s at my goal weight. I am lifting weights, doing cardio, and averaging around 85 grams of protein a day. What am I doing wrong? What can I can to get more fat loss going?

Accountability
For the first time last night I was accountable. I am 2 weeks into my journey but last night the wheels came off and I binged for the first time in months. When to switch to maintenance after goal
I weigh myself every day and track on Happy Scale. I first landed in my goal range (125 - 130 is my goal range, I weighed in at 128.6) on February 5th. I am set at losing .5 per week which gives me 1450 calories. I believe when I switch to maintenance I'll get about 1690 (if my memory from playing around is correct). I…

Learning discipline is amazing
It's absolutely astounding to me the discipline i have learned or aquirred in losing weight over the last year and half. Two examples. What time do you try to stop eating by?
We typically have dinner around 5:30/6pm. Than I'll normally have a snack around 7:30-8. Sometimes if I still have calories left or if I'm up late with my 3 month old I'll want to snack again around 9-9:30. I try to make the 8pm my cut off & not eat after that. Is it really bad to eat late like that? I try not to eat…
