a feeling of happiness
My husband and I live 2 hours from both of our parents. This last weekend, we went down. My dad said that he could tell I was losing weight. My in-laws praised about how different I am acting and how much easier I seem to be moving. And, they could tell I had lost! My mom can't ever tell. I've been on here for 55 days now.…

I have tried to get through it twice made it to level two and than I stop. I'm thinking I need something that helps with inches. I don't care about what i weigh as much as I care about…

Getting so close
I had to post after weighing in this morning: 178.8 (177.2 on my wife's scales) The last time any scales said anything under 180 was.....1980's. It was before I got married. I typically weigh in a bit later on the weekend, like 2-3 hours later, but still. I'm getting close to my goal of 175. I think 175 is a pretty good…

Any MFP'ers out there who have kept their weight off?
I'm not sure how old this website it, but I would love to hear from anyone who has met their goal weight and maintained it for longer than a year, and has not gained any of it back. I keep hearing about howso many people lose-gain-lose-gain for years and I am hoping some of you with long-term success will share your…

Run to Wrigley!
Hi - finished a 5k run today at Run to Wrigley and I decreased my time by 45 seconds per mile finishing the race in 32 minutes. I really wanted a solid 10 min mile and got a 10.25, down from 11 mins. It gives me something to keep shooting for. Had a blast! Yahoo!

its working for me
I've lost 20 pounds since october without MFP, but I hit a plateau at the end of January, and stopped losing weight. I lost some motivation, and stop doing much cardio during February , and I slacked off going to the gym during March and most of April. I gained 2 pounds because of it. So I used this website to count my…

I'm actually crying as I write this
Hi MFP Family!!!! This may seem silly, but then again considering the love and support I feel from my MFP friends and knowing that we are all aiming for the same goal maybe it won't seem so silly. When I started MFP 16 days ago I immediately gained a pound and since then gained two more. I was definitely getting…

25 Minutes Nonstop!
I finished week 6 of C25K last night, running for 25 minutes straight. If someone had told me 6 weeks ago that I would be running for 25 minutes, I would have thought it some rude, vile, nasty joke. This probably seems like nothing to some of you, but it is a big deal to me!

YES I CAN!
I know it doesn't sound like a real big deal, but I broke 200 lbs today! (I weighed in @ 199 this morning :) When I went into labor with my beautiful daughter in May of 2007 I weighed 235. A year later on her first birthday I weighed 230 :P I knew I had to do something so I joined a gym and dropped 25 lbs in about 6…

Who would care about this besides me?
Of course, MFP people. After running up to a 38 inch waist, I purchased some new Seven jeans today - waist size? 30. Haven't been a 30 inch waist since high school. Anyway, that's my "success story" for the day...wasn't a goal, but felt damn good for some reason. If my goofy *kitten* can lose the weight and get in shape, I…
