7 Lessons From 1000 Consecutive Days Of Logging
Today is my 1,000 straight day of logging. Over the past 3 years, I've dropped 50 lbs. and at 51 years old I can honestly say I'm in the best shape of my life...by far. Here are some lessons I've learned that might be of help to others on your journey. 1) You can do it! I promise. Just don't ever give up. You can win this…

I’VE DONE IT! 100 lbs LOST since May!!
Today was THEE milestone goal I have been hunting for weeks now. Lost my 100th pound, and the next milestone is getting to my initial goal weight of 250 (albeit I have adjusted that to 225 now). My wife and I started our journey the first week of May and have been doing the Atkins diet. My clothes size went from a 4xl, and…

I’m a believer! Both scale and NSV!
It’s coming up on a month since I started MFP and I am a believer in the “system” and general calculations! I am 5’4”, starting weight of 173lbs - the day we got back from a month long vacation. I was SWOLLEN so I knew the first couple/few pounds would be water weight, but since then it has been a consistent 1lb/week on…

More than 100 lb loss and have maintained 2 years
Yesterday marked 2 years of being in maintenance for me. I have maintained my 100 lb loss and have actually dropped more. I started my weight loss journey January 11th, 2017. I changed everything. I got up off of the couch and became active in the gym. I changed my diet and started eating healthier and appropriate…

Down 12 Pounds So Far :0)
Started at 205 and argued in this morning at 193. Been following MFP, trying to eat healthier foods, less carbs and more protein. I try to get at least 5-10k steps per day but don’t really workout otherwise. Very happy so far :0)

225lbs lost, gained some back.
I originally lost 225lbs! Now after 5 years of maintenance I’m sitting at 192lbs lost. (My lowest weight was 130. I’m now 163) Over the years stress, school, kids, work.... and my less than motivated self caused me to gain some back. I’m glad it wasn’t the entire amount lost, but it’s still hard to keep myself always on…

Holy hell..
On June 24th 2019, I reopened this app three years later after I stared in the mirror that night and realized how much weight I was carrying on my body. I was heavier than my mom. Around three years ago when using this app, I was an active user and tracked my weightloss. As a teen I was fairly healthy. Then some mental…

Back to the gym after years of inactivity.
Hi guys! I am 22 years old, 1m66 tall. I haven't been to the gym for a very long time and I just returned a couple of months ago. Been going to the gym for 3-4 times a week and I gotta admit I did skip some weeks due to intense workload and business abroad. This is my progress so far. Please tell if I look really bad and…

My Success with MyFitnessPal
I joined MyFitnessPal a while ago but was never really committed and for the last 20 years I’ve been to-yo dieting but on 9 Jan 2019 I finally bit the bullet and got stuck in. I’m 1lb off my goal of losing 3 stones so I thought I’d post my before and after pic and hope it gives inspiration to others who find it difficult…

Dating after weight loss
Hey guys! So I've been thinking a lot about this lately and wanted to see if anyone else has struggled with this at all. I'm about 2/3 to my weight goal and I've dropped a noticeable amount (over 40 lbs). I say noticeable because, well, I'm starting to get noticed. I was always heavy until recently, and as a result, I…

Take pictures Slow and steady wins the race
One year gym Anniversary was this week. I was pretty bummed because the scale only shows a minor loss. Nowhere near where I had wanted to be. But then I got the idea to do a pic in the same clothes, same location, same day 1 year later. Yay! Although it's not a huge difference like some transformation stories I can tell a…

Beginner 55+ runner's personal achievements (share yours!)
In 2016, I decided to do C25K to add a basic running capability to my cycling and swimming. I told my friend: I just want to be able to run 2 x 8 minute miles. He said: well, "that shouldn't be too hard." Well, yes it was! I only finally did it this past week on a treadmill after more than three years of running! I'm…

Proud to feel like my true self again
Before kids I was in pretty good shape and at a normal weight and BMI. When I was pregnant with my first child I gained about 50 lbs. I lost most of the weight, but not all of it, before I got pregnant with my second child. Again I gained about 50 lbs. So 6 months after my second was born I was so disgusted with my weight…

Time to celebrate!
Guys, it's official! I'VE LOST ALL MY BABY WEIGHT!!!! All 43 pounds! My "baby" will be 2 next month. This is a huge deal for me because all my life I kept receiving the same message of "it's so much harder to loose weight after you have kids" and "you won't have time for yourself after kids" - basically saying you'll never…

ONEDERLAND!!
Been obese/overweight probably since age 8 and am now 34. Following my husband who I’d been with since 16 cheating on me last year and our split, I decided to put some focus into me and my happiness rather than just work and being a wife and mum. I started at 261 (probably not my heaviest of all time) last December and…

1,000 miles!
Today I reached 1,000 miles ridden on my bike in just over a year! Before that, I hadn’t owned or ridden a bike in 35 years. I completed 77 rides ranging from 5 to 33 miles, in 3 states plus Canada. No one ride was epic in and of itself, I just kept working at it because I was having fun. Keep moving and work towards your…

From a 110lb loss to a 5K run!
In 2016, when I was 110lbs heavier, was pre-diabetic, and was on 2 BP meds, I could barely walk 20 mins without thinking 'I wonder if I'm going to make it.' Ran my first 5K this year!
