A Different Sort of Success
I’ve been seeing my hairdresser for years now so we talk about pretty much everything. It’s been a little while that’s she’s been unhappy with her weight. She was also told she has some food allergies so she’s tried a few different things, some of them pretty wacky including the blood type diet, with limited success. The…

Body fat % pictures?
Hey ladies! I'm in the process of setting goals right now so I can motivate myself to eat better and work out more regularly. I'd love to have a goal for my ideal body fat percentage. Right now I'm at a 27.7 and I think 24 would be nice?! However, I don't know what I would look like then. I don't want to get too skinny. Is…

Needs must!
Im going to balance the scales today! Instead of MFP politely leaving daily positive messages such as “Lucy was under her calorie goal” or some other deed of food diet virtuosity I have a somewhat different message: “Today Lucy completely blew her calorie goal. She scoffed 3 rounds of toast and marmalade, with lashings of…

Beat cancer and building muscle
I had advanced colorectal cancer three years ago. I had 6 weeks of radiation 5 days a week. Multiple surgeries, 8 months of chemo, and left with lots of scar tissue all throughout my digestive system. I still suffer from digestive pain and I am prone to obstructions that send me to the hospital to get my stomach pumped. A…

While we all hear things like "size doesn't matter" and "appreciate what you have" we all know being in better shape and overall healthier makes a big difference in our lives! That is why we are all here! I was in a miserable unhealthy relationship and all we did was fight, eat and repeat. The day I said enough is enough I…

Haircuts AFTER weight-loss success stories~Do you luv it or hate it&would u cut all your hair again?
This is a different kinda success story inquiry and thread. I've always had long hair all during my obesity and overweight times. Once I lost a substantial amount of weight, I got a substantial hairstyle/haircut to little longer than my neck-line bob and it's cute, but I'm REALLY tempted to get a...PIXIE CUT or super…

Progress with Healthy Living
In June 2019, I was 198# and my blood work showed troubling results for my kidneys. My Doctor said loose some weight, continue to exercise, and reduce sodium. I’m a 73 years old male. So I increased my cardio from 3-4 times a week to 6-7 a week. Stop eating all “sweets”, reduced red meat to once a week or less, and…

Anyone lose 100+ pounds WITHOUT surgery?
I have nothing against bariatric surgery. I had one done myself, but after 10 years of problems with no weight loss because of said problems, it was finally reversed and I feel amazing, like I am human again! I am now looking at losing 100+ pounds, and would love to hear from anyone who has done it without surgery.…

I didn’t eat the chocolate croissant ...
This may not fit in the success story as a huge weight loss would, but none the less, it was a success for me. I work in a school where people love to bring me treats. Yesterday, a lovely new teacher at the school gave me a beautiful chocolate croissant as a treat for helping her. If I ate it, I’d have about a hundred…

Progress throughout time achievement!
Okay, so there are no photos of the past to how I looked due to being so ashamed of how I once was, so do not even think there are any to show how I looked nine years ago before reading further into this post. In 2009- 2010 before March 2010, I had literally not realised I had been on 8-9 stone! I was close to being…

99 lb weight loss
Since beginning My Fitness Pal over 9 years ago, I have lost 99 lbs. I got really serious in 2015 and started counting carbs. Because I am diabetic, I am allowed 45 carbs per meal. It was really an eye opener to see how many carbs I was over-eating.

European Weight Loss
I returned yesterday from a 17-day trip to Europe. Before leaving I weighed 207 pounds. I am not quite 6’4”. When I reluctantly got on the scale this morning, I weighed 196! While in Europe, I pretty much ate what I wanted to at meals. I didn’t snack much except on a few M&Ms. I ate plenty of croissants, pain au chocolat,…

This is my first post but figured I would share. On February 23rd of this year I weighed 263 pounds. For me this has been a major health concern. The Health issues I have been dealing with for a few years now: 1. Severe sleep apnea not sleeping well in general. I was to the point where I was falling asleep at work. 2. High…
