What can I do to lose weight in my stomach?
What can I do to lose weight in my stomach? I’ve been doing lots of crunches but they don’t seem to help. There is no way to target weight loss to a specific area of the body because your body decides where it wants to put on weight and where it wants to take it off. The midsection is a common "problem" area for many…

Hamstring injury
I was working out with my son's football team this weekend and felt an awful pop in my hamstring while doing a sprint. I'm 48 and run 2-3X/week and have pretty good flexibility but this was a whopper. I iced it several times the first day and applied heat on day 2 (today is day 3) and it's still pretty painful. Without too…

Stamina 15-0120 InStride Cycle XL Pedal Exerciser
Hello All... My co-worker gave me a Stamina 15-0120 InStride Cycle XL Pedal Exerciser because I dislocated my knee about a year ago and it still hurts really bad. There are times that I can barely stand up and put weight on that knee at all. I figure since I can't really go out and walk the way I would like to at least…

So, I have been quite the cardio *kitten* (for lack of a better term) lately. I work out between 5-6 times a week which includes biking, walking, elliptical and C25k. Most of my workouts are between 45-60 mins, elliptical being between 30-45 mins. I know I need to start some kind of strength training in order to start…

P90X Question
Just got P90X and was reading through everything.....one thing I noticed is that it seems to emphasize that you should not be counting calories and/or creating a calorie deficiency while doing P90X. I started MFP recently and wanted to do both....any thoughts? I can't afford to buy all of the foods in the nutritional guide…

I thought I posted this, but I think my browser crashed....anyways... I've always struggled with keeping up with fitness plans once I got busy. Right now I'm loaded down with work, and my first thought (and most popular thought) was, oh, just start up again in January! Then I thought, no, I can't do that after coming this…

I am a little confused with my calories burned, I recently purchased a HRM and today with my work out it said that I burned 499 calories but MFP for general aerobics states for 30 minutes I burned 247 calories? Has anyone else experienced this? Did I possibly get a crappy HRM?

Crystal Light and the like...
I wish we could add polls sometimes, cause this would be a good poll... When adding Crystal Light or other suger free sweeteners to water, do you calculate that as water intake for the day or do you only include plain water nothing added as your water intake? I personally hate the fact that I'm drinking the sweetener, but…

How do you log calories burned using a HRM?
I was just wondering, can you quick-add calories burned using data from your heart rate monitor? Like if the HRM says you burned 250 calories, where would you put that? I can't seem to find a place to do it... and if not, how do you track your "allowed" calories each day (the "goal" calories plus what you've burned), so…
