I hate it....I love it...
Exercise that is. The anticipation of going to the gym or getting on the treadmill is dreadful. I try and not think about and just do it. If I think about it the anxiety of how hard it's going to be builds. Of course it's never as hard as I imagine it to be. THEN, after my workout I feel amazing. The natural adrenaline…

Need Some Heart-Rate Advice
I've been doing a 35-minute bike-ride every day for the past 10 days, over somewhat hilly terrain. As you can see in my sig, I'm 1/4 of the way to losing 45 lbs. I have no cardio issues, and reasonly good genetics in this regard. This is what my HR looks like: [ Avg. HR: 163 bpm -- Max HR: 200 bpm (probably an error) ]…

November Challenge
Is anyone starting a challenge in November? I know my personal goal is to be down to 127 by January 1. My SW is 138 so that's 11 pounds in the next two months. I don't think its an unrealistic goal, 5.5 each month so I'm shooting for it. With that being said, my November goal is to lose 6-8 lbs by the end of November. 1.…

Sit-Ups, You're Doing It Wrong
Okay! So this is somewhat-very embarrassing. I can't do a sit up. You know, that move where you start flat on your back and then magically you're sitting up saying hello to your knees? I can't do that. It makes me a little sad, but I can accept that for now. This is the embarrassing part. I cannot *lift my shoulder blades…

Heart Rate Question
So, I was just curious when I was at the gym today, what are the different heart rate zones actually doing to your body? Because I know there is the "weight loss zone" and the "cardio zone" but wouldn't you still lost weight while working out with a heart rate in the cardio zone since you will still be burning calories? I…

Has this happened to anyone else...
Or is it just me? I am an admitted carboholic. But since starting here I've cut my carb intake a great deal. It's a good thing too because I was close to diabetes...
