P 90X question
Just a quick question for all you P90X pros :) I got the DVDS burned from a friend but really don’t know "how” to use them. Is there a certain order that I should do them, or just do one a day and then keep rotating them in. I tried going to the beach body site but seem to be getting different answers so I just figured I…

My first Iron Man competition
I was talking to one of my friends, and he told me that this september, there will be an iron man 70.3 competition in Syracuse. He wants me to join. I have always wanted to do a competition of the sort, but never have actually gone through with it. I would say I am decently in shape, could definitely be better though, but…

Yay! I found a walking buddy!
I like to walk at night, and there isn't much for light in my neighborhood, so it's safer to have a buddy. I finally got brave and asked my neighbor across the street and we're on'! yay!

weight training suggestions please
I started in February with changing myself and so far I have done pretty good. I am making better choices with my foods. I work out a least 5 days a week at the gym, I rollerblade on days I don't. My work outs only include cardio though and I know I need to add some weight training for my muscles. I have tried Jillian…

Starting to get frustrated
OKAY so I've been working out 6 times a week for a little over a month now. And I've been eating and staying at my calories also. Yes I have days when I do bad but not as many as my good days. So you would think I'd start to loose weight? NO UGHHHH I keep going up and down 3 pounds! Last week i weighed 127 this week 130…

Working around CRAZY schedules
For those of you who have crazy schedules and busy lives, how do you manage to fit your workouts in everyday. I work 9-10 hour days, commute at 2 hours a day, and have a short lunch break. It seems I have to get up before the roosters to get a guarenteed workout in and it is starting to catch up with me. I am exhausted all…

What are you going to do when .. .. ..
Hello All & Happy Wednesday I was just wondering, for the people doing Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred, what are you going to do on day 31? I was considering taking 2-3 days off from the workout and starting over using higher weights. Right now I use 3 pounds for each exercise and was going to increase to 5 pounds. What are…

Squats
It's a love/hate thing for me with squats. I know that doing barbell squats is the holy grail of strength training, and I do them with excellent form and progressive overload, but geez they really do suck. If the pay off wasn't so huge I know I'd be doing easier leg work.

Exercise and Calorie Intake
I was wondering what you guys think is the best strategy. I know that this website gives you a certain amount of calories that you should consume in a day in order to loose 1 lb a week (or whatever your goal is). Then I notice that it adds to that calorie amount if you exercise. So, I am usually good at meeting the first…

Holy ABS!!
Coming up with some different stuff at the gym, doing some research and found an ab workout that is KILLER! I couldn't believe how challenging these were... Wall Walkouts Wall walkouts seem very simple, a movement where you start in a handstand against the wall and then you walk out until you are parallel to the ground. (…

Does anyone have or has used one of these? My husband and teenage kids want to get one - but I am always a bit wary about some of the claims on tv ads.

I never thought I would be a "Yoga Person"....
This weekend, my hubby and I took our kids on a trip to the beach - enjoyed ourselves and the time together, packed some healthy foods for myself along with the snacks and munchies for everyone else (bananas, apples, yogurt, juice, etc). I indulged here and there (dark chocolate bar with my ice water by the pool!), but did…

Need help
I bought 40 12" concrete landscaping blocks today from Lowes. I had to load them from the the shelf to the cart (20 of them twice due to a color problem). Then load them from the cart into the back of my CRV. Then carry 10 of them from the car to the front mail box bed (one at a time). The remaining 30 went (one at a time)…

Anyone using Walk-Away-the-Pounds?
Would love to hear from others using the walk away the pounds for exercise! I have several of the tapes and rotate them daily to work different muscles. My favorites right now are the 3 Mile Boot Camp and the 4 mile Walk Slim 4 Really Big miles. I've had real good success with them so far.

Yet another bootcamp
I don't remember where I picked this one up but it's a great cardio blaster, especially for those days where all the blasted cardio equipment is being used in the gym..don't wait for it, just do this! You need dumbbells, an exercise ball, a medicine ball and a mat. You can also do this workout without any equipment. If you…

New C25K for the New Year

Yet another Calorie Calculator
I liked this one. It let you put in weight and time and then create a printable sheet of activities that is quite extensive and with good descriptions. Just thought I'd share http://www.primusweb.com/fitnesspartner/calculat.htm

Circuit training locator?
I've noticed a LOT of circuit training courses located all over the place recently while I've been out hiking, biking, walking, running, etc. Does anyone know if there's a website around that catalogs them? They seem to turn up in pretty unexpected places; some are in pretty bad disrepair but it seems like a fun way to…

Working out first thing in morning...
I have come to the realization that I looked my best when I got up every morning and exercised before breakfast....Why is this?
