Benefiber lies! (about it's nutrition info...)
I eat a lot of natural fiber: Oatmeal, fruit, salad. I still need to take a fiber supplement in the evening to feel my best the next day. I really don't understand why. I've tried them all, and the easiest to take by far is Benefiber. It dissolves completely, is tasteless and textureless. I put a generous amount in a large…

Cico vs Macros
Question, can i still lose weight on just a calorie deficit? Or do i have to worry about macros and keeping it low carb? If I’m busy and can’t cook, can i have a burger as long as I’m under calories? Or does too many carbs and fat hurt my weight loss even if I’m under calories? THANKS IN ADVANCE :)

Meal kits: what's the point?
IMO it's just as easy to go to the store, buy a bag of salad mix and a can of tuna or a box of pasta and some cooked chicken. Why are people spending $X.XX dollars a month on meal kits like Hello Fresh, Blue Apron, etc.

Protein
I've slowly gained weight over the past couple years, after previously losing 125lbs. I lift weights 5-6 days per week and walk a tremendous amount, so the exercise has been great. I just struggled with the eating part. I am conscious of what I eat and keep calories low most meals, but the problem is that I am always…

Question re: MFP macro calculator
Hello all, Just started using the MFP macro calculator. I only care about total calories for the day - and maintaining 40% protein, 30% fat, 30% protein (for muscle gain). The problem is, MFP takes calories from a variety of sources - fiber, sugar, saturated fat and so on. And it seems virtually impossible to get the right…

Lunch (no way to heat anything up)
Hi all, I am a salesman on the road. I do not typically have access to a microwave to heat food up. So I am basically stuck with what you can eat cold from a lunch box. Does anyone have a good link or a good Pinterest board that has this kind of food? I can only eat sandwiches for so long before I’m sick of them, and find…

Eat to Live/Dr. Joel Fuhrman/Nutritarian eating--anyone doing this?
Anyone doing/have done the plan from Dr. Joel Furhman’s Eat to Live book? Kinda old at this point, def not the trendy thing, but wondering... I’m doing the 6-wk plan from the book as a “hard reset” to get back to healthy eating after seeing it on this blog: https://hellonutritarian.com/. I was looking for a plant-based…

Show me yours and I'll show you mine....(MACROS that is....)
For those who track macros, what are your splits? I switched mine to 45/35/20 (protein/fat/carbs) and within a week and a half saw my body change (finally!). Only lost one pound but composition is for sure changing to the leaner look I like. What are your numbers? I feel like I will slowly increase the carb portion after…

Red Velvet Cake
Hi, friends. I'm thinking about making a small red velvet cake in a heart shaped pan for DH for valentines. Red velvet is his favorite. I've never made one before. He's in a calorie deficit (and counting) these days so a sugar free version would help (both of us). I did a search, and the hits were from 2011 so I thought it…

Sodium in a shake or grind of salt?
My kitchen scale won't register the weight of a shake or grind of table salt. It's less than a dash or pinch. Does anybody have an estimate of sodium in just a sprinkle? I realize it's pretty subjective and that dispensers will vary. I limit myself to about a quarter turn of my salt grinder, or two shakes of a regular…
