Max Protein that can be absorbed per serving

Advice on a healthy midnight snack
I work 2-3 nights a week until midnight. I am looking for a sensible small meal/snack I can have when I get home at 12:30. I usually have a snack at 5pm and eat dinner at work at around 7pm. I am usually up until 2am when I get home from work that late.
