Protein
Hi does anyone else have a problem keeping to 75g of protein? I haven't lost weight in 5 weeks and the only thing that I can see consistently is that my protein is always over. Really fed up because I weigh and log everything calories ok but my protein is always over.

Conflicting Calorie Counts
i was looking up 4 oz baked salmon for today's dinner. I found a calorie range from 125-225. I looked on other websites to get an average and ended up just overestimating to be safe. How do you guys pick the right calorie count from the MFP database? I know that when a food has an * in front of it, a member has added it. I…

Pasta calories
Hi I’m new 😀 I’ve seen the thread about inaccurate calories in the database but pasta seems to be way out - or is it me? My 100g of cooked penne pasta according to the packet is 134 cals, but in MFP nearly all the pasta types are coming in at 350ish cals! Even the exact brand and even those with the green tick (I assume…

Corned beef
Tonight my husband has requested the family favourite of corned beef. (silverside) To cook this I usually put it in the slow cooker in water with beef stock, brown sugar and other various seasonings. The silverside will absorb the taste of course and as I am not going to drink the water, how to I add this one into my…

Not Enough Nutrition?
Some days I do find myself not eating as much as I probably should, and by using the myfitnesspal to track my calories they finally let me know that yesterday. Yesterday I was off work. We had a lot of errands to run and got busy. I ate like one meal the entire day and that was it. Granted that one meal consisted of just…

Struggling with meal plan
Hello all, I've been struggling with losing body fat for just under a decade now. I've been going to the gym 5 days a week and doing a lot physically to offset my desk job, however it all came down to nothing pretty much. The leanest I've ever been was 21.6% body fat and as soon as holidays struck and I've allowed myself…

Meal kits and weight loss?
Has anybody been using meal delivery kits in their weight loss journey? I’ve been using EveryPlate, personally. It’s nice to just be able to plug it into the app and know what I’m eating each week? Plus it’s relatively cheap compared to buying things I won’t end up using anyway

Japanese Food?
I know this sounds rather specific but I used to love making homemade Japanese (and Irish food but i'll tackle that later) and home. Now that I am trying to eat healthier I have no idea how to turn that around but still enjoy Japanese recipes at home. --Japanese-- 1) How bad is soy sauce? It's used in nearly all of their…

When You Want to Eat Healthy, Then Don't.
I need a new approach to nutrition. I've been ultra lazy and really eating too many calories of garbage. I want to eat healthy, and then I don't. I know I can eat healthy, I'm just doomed with inconsistency. Maybe I can hold my self more accountable for my daily nutrition posting here.

Potassium!
We all know that potassium is important for losing weight and maintaining a proper sodium-potassium ratio. Getting enough potassium is important because it reduces muscle fatigue, increases energy, and improves muscle building. And yet... most food packagers simply don't list the amount of potassium on their food. It's so…

Help understanding MFP calorie goal for body recomposition: eat net calorie goal or not
Hi, I’m currently trying to do body recomposition and I’m using calorie tracking via MFP. I am trying to go from 85KG to around 82 KG while losing fat and gaining muscle. Based on my stats (85.4kg, 35, 188cm) my TDEE was calculated at around 2700. so I put in a calorie goal of 2200 into MFP to give a good calorie deficit…

For numerous reasons, I want to up my protein intake, but I'm struggling to figure out how. I'm not a big fan of meat and can't do red meat, but beans/pulses are also an issue. I've been eating a lot of eggs and tuna recently and I'm so bored with it! Any magic tricks out there?
