Bathroom scales reset
Hi everyone! I have a few questions. In the past, my bathroom scales have been showing 2 different weight readings 2 times in a row so I was wondering if I did the right thing by resetting them? When should I be resetting my bathroom scales? If I've already reset my scales will I be having any further problems with them or…

Goal evaluation
So when I first set my goal, I didn’t set what I’d really like to maintain at. It would have been too overwhelming. Instead a set a goal for about a third of where I’d like to possibly be. As I get closer to that first goal should I change it. Or just wait to hit it then change it 🤔 I know there’s no right answer. But I…

Night Shift Woes
Hello all! I work 7pm to 730am between 3 and 4 days a week and try to do intermittent fasting while I am at work (usually comes out to 22 hour fasts). I do ok on days I work (kinda, working on the meal prep thing an not just eating within my calories at fast food places) but then my days off I turn into a slug and bomb my…

Confused.com
Good Morning everyone, I am just after a bit of advice. I started my healthy life style 2 and a half weeks ago but didn't see to have lost any weight. I never go over my calorie allowance and have been exercising (mostly cardio) everyday but I started the 30 day shred but I will be doing cardio alongside. However over the…

3 months, 4lbs lost. So frustrating!
Hello everyone, I’ll begin with my stats: F, 37yo, 5’2, 112lbs. I have been logging for 3 months now (with the exception of last weekend when I was away). I am weighing and measuring everything (down to cooking sprays, etc). I started mid April at 116, and I have been stuck at 112-113 for 4-5 weeks now. I’ve been eating…

Rapid weight loss
At a point when i had got pretty squishy 3 weeks ago i started out prepping for a 2.5 week hike which i just completed. I'm a bit lazy about carrying and eating food so was probably averaging 1200-1400 kcal/day. Low, but not super low. Imagine my surprise when i stood on the scales 20lbs down from 3 weeks ago (my BMI was…

Time for an off meal!
Wife and I decided we were overdue for a serious no-counting off meal and made a stash of sushi tonight :) Things they won't serve you in a sushi restaurant, like filet mignon sushi. And lox-cream cheese-egg sushi LOL. But we also made the traditional shrimp tempura sushi, because why not. Didn't quite get to the end of…

Weight Frozen Foods - Before or After!?

Boiling milk and nutrition?
Does boiling milk affect its nutrition content like vitamins, minerals and protein quality? I like to cook oatmeal on the stove and I use milk because it tastes better, I boil milk for 5-10 mins on average.

Post Surgery Appetite
Earlier this week I had out-patient surgery to remove some cancer from my leg which is giving me a couple issues. I'm used to either skating 10-18 miles or doing a couple hours of hard cardio 5x a week. Getting back on my feet is gonna take a minute and I'm having a real hard time sticking to the calorie allotment for a…

How to set an appropriate goal?
I have never had a weight or body fat goal in mind that I was trying to hit. Instead I always used the "try to be the best version of your self" approach. Unfortunately, I am losing motivation to be the best version of my self now. Even maintaining at this point doesn't seem like it is worth the effort. How do you set your…

So I got a bit lax with MFP after having a baby, 2 & a bit years later I'm significantly heavier than I'd like to be (around 66kg and I was 55-58kg at my happiest) I'm 161cm.
