How do you maintain your new weight?
I have nearly reached my weight loss goal! Just want to lose 4 more pounds. Once I have reached this, how do I keep my weight the same? Do I just go back to 1500 calories a day? which I think is what is recommended for women? I feel like if I do that, the weight will start to come back. Any advice from those who have lost…

How to avoid weight gain on weekend
It is a constant challenge to avoid unnecessary eating and drinking especially on weekends. Say no to all snack, nurse your first drink for long time. Leave early if possible. Joy is in being with friends.

I don't have periods anymore?
In August of last year, I began losing weight. In February, I started missing my period. When I asked a friend (who lost a lot of weight) about missing my period, she responded that happens when the body is going through some changes. Finally, I reached my goal weight earlier this month (June 11th). Now I am 5'3 and 110…

Weight loss Depression
By the time I eat less, I feel emotionally blue over the period of weight loss For keeping myself away from my favorite food and eating unsatisfactory low-carb food. My stomach gets hungry quickly and my mood changes instantly. How can I balance my mood during the period of weight loss?

It's more than weight and looks
I was just going through my medical records and checked my resting heart rate over the last 8 years. As soon as I lost weight 3 years ago, my resting heart rate dropped about 20 beats per minutes - 25%. I was always in the healthy range, but that's pretty impressive. BTW, I'm not a gym rat. I used to walk every day and I…

Did my metabolism just return to normal?
I was around 110kg a year ago and I decided to go on a 1,400 calorie a day diet. The first month was VERY tough as I wasn't used to this kind of food deprivation but I successfully overcame it. For the following months I got used to the new calorie amount and even went lower to 1,200-,1300 occasionally. I was worried…

Maintenance calorie help needed please
Yup, one of those threads so thank you in advance! I'm 5'8 on a good day, 132 pounds, and I think I'm ready to begin experimenting with maintenance. Someone a while ago suggested I bump from 1,300 calories to 1,520 which I've done for two weeks. Now I'm wondering if that's too much. I just checked the SailRabbit BMR…

Balancing goals and having a social life!
I work out 5-6 days a week. Monday - Friday I eat 95% healthy, clean foods and completely stick to my calories and macros. On the weekends I like to give myself more leeway, especially on Saturdays. However, even one day a week spent indulging in a few alcoholic drinks (mainly vodka sodas) and eating one unhealthy meal I…

How did you find your maintenance?
With 10 pounds left to go, I'm getting my head in gear for plans of maintenance. How did you guys find what calorie amount helped you to maintain? How do you keep up your motivation? What about holidays abroad and birthdays, do you 'save up' or lose a little beforehand?

re-comp or bulk?
Hi guys. I am nearing my bodyweight goal and am mentally preparing for the next phase. Its harder going the closer I get! Self sabotage and complacency are slowing me down so I think focussing on the next step and the next goal will help. I lift weights 3 times a week (madcow programme) and circuit train twice a week. My…

The last 15, transitioning from deficit to maintenance?

I'm only 5 pounds from my goal...
Hi, I'm only 5 pounds from my goal weight. I've lost about .5 to 1 pound a week over the last couple of months. I only wanted to lose 15 pounds. I'm confused about calories for deficit vs. calories for maintenance. I know that to lose you need to eat at a deficit and to maintain you need to eat the amount you are burning.…

Anyone else who doesn't count calories?
For me counting calories is really boring and it makes it feel like I'd be on a permanent diet all my life. I just eat whenever I'm hungry, but the key for me was to eat until I feel satisfied and not until I felt full. I'm not afraid to waste part of a meal If I feel that my body is satisfied with what it already got I…
