Sandwich Free Work Lunch Ideas
Hi! I'm hoping I can get some inspiration from everyone on here. I am looking to get some nutritious lunch ideas that are not sandwiches as I'm not a big bread eater. I've been eating salads so far but they of course get boring real quick! My workplace only has a kettle - no microwave *groan*. So I can't even re-heat last…

Looking for Pemmican/jerky/almond tips
Low-carb dieter here. First and foremost, loving this app. I'm about 10 lbs down. I've run into a conundrum. Pepperoni and store-bought jerky are awful for sodium. I've made pemmican once in the distant past and want to try my hand again. Any tips for minimizing carbs and sodium when making jerky or pemmican? What's your…

Accurate calories for this cheesecake?
Hello everyone, I am making this cheesecake for my friends this weekend and I was hoping to treat myself to a small slice. I popped it into the recipe builder and it comes out at 220 calories a slice, does that sound right? Should it be more, the recipe itself says 390 so I think something may be off?

I have been forced by my body to get back into a good diet plan. Stomach ulcer issues have made it necessary to take a break from red meats and cut back on fats and sodium. I'm looking for some good recipes that fall into this category. Anyone dealing with stomach ulcers have any favorite go-to meals?

Help with recipe builder - can't work out portions by weight!
I've attempted to use the recipe builder for the first time for a fruit cocktail thingy. All entered satisfactorily, no problem with that. The whole lot comes to 604 calories if I log it as one serving and weighs 1075g (ingredients only). How do I then work out how much, say, 100g worth is calories-wise, or 120g, or 150g?…

Recipes are calculating sodium all wonky!
I tried to calculate an egg drop soup with low sodium chicken broth. It said each serving was about 110 calories which was about right but then it said there was 3,124 mg of sodium per serving! I knew that can't be right so I looked up each ingredient separately, added them up, divided them by servings and found there…

easy, gluten free stomach-friendly recipes after the flu?
Hello everyone! I'm new to posting on these forums. I am just getting on my feet after a very nasty bout of a stomach flu. I've been following the BRAT diet for the past few days and finally feel able to eat some normal foods. I've tried a bit of rotisserie chicken breast and some chicken and rice soup so far and it seems…

No pasta Ramen!
This is not the best shot of the food, but wow. One of my new favorites when I want to “indulge” is turnip noodle ramen. I use turnip noodles (the color and texture tricks my mind into thinking it’s real pasta), organic low sodium chicken/vegetable broth, a splash of low sodium GF soy sauce, a splash of sesame oil, and a…

Savory Oatmeal Recipe
Add 1 cup of Quaker's quick one-minute oats to Anchor's 16 oz measuring cup (that's what I prefer to use but you can use what works for you). Then add enough water to just sit over it.
