Injured and can't run: going batty!
I've always known that excercise is VERY important to my weight loss...let's face it, calorie restriction can be a little less severe when you're burning more during the day. That's the one thing I've always been bad at - strict calorie restriction. Plus a really good workout just feels good - there's nothing like a…

i currently don't have one. (its on the top of my christmas list!!) but i was wondering if the calories burned according to wii fit board (like the different games and wii fit) are accurate or how far off are they? i did the 30 minutes of free step, 20 minutes free run (jogging fairly quickly) and another 20 mins of random…

Need exercise help!
I really need some suggestions about what exercises I can do. I've had neck surgery twice and have a lot of neck cramps and pain(still...sigh). If I try to do many exercises, I usually pay for it later that day by intense pain in my neck. I love this website and the support everyone gives. It has motivated me to lose 12…

WHY does this site suggest that you eat your exercise calori
Isn't that kind of defeating the purpose of the exercise? I am not exercising so I can eat more, I am trying to burn off what I have already eaten. Someone enlighten me on this please.

cardio then strength?? or vice versa??
I've read so many different perspectives on this, most of them contradicting ... I'm curious on what others are doing. I do 2 days straight cardio, and 3 days strength with 20 minutes cardio. I normally do the cardio first, because it gets my blood pumping! Thanks guys!

The dreaded wall....(long distance running)
I ran my first marathon on Sunday. I will count it as a success as I finished the whole thing running but if you look at my splits...it is actually funny to me how obvious my wall was. I hit that wall head on. I worked hard mentally to get through it but have been doing a bit of research today. It seems that I may have…

Dizzy... Suggestions?
I just attempted a workout video and had to stop part of the way through because I got really dizzy. At the gym I can do over an hour on the elliptical without getting dizzy but 20 minutes of circuit training made my vision go blotchy. Will I Still Lose Weight? (trainer input needed!)
Hello MFPers! I have a question for you all. So far I've lost 27 pounds of the 50 I plan to lose. A trainer at the gym stopped me today and told me that I needed to cut my cardio and focus on strength training to cut fat. I do intense cardio 45-60 mins three days a week and do circuit training 3 days a week for 50 mins. If…

ING Hartford Marathon R/R
Morning everyone! So this past Saturday I ran the Hartford Marathon up in Connecticut. Pretty good race! The course was nice, weather was absolutely perfect and there was some decent crowd support in a few locations. The course was a bit "hilly" at the beginning but overall certainly not the hilliest course I have ever…

When I first started running, I just sort of ran....didnt do a walk to a jog to a run type thing...just sprinted and gradually got…
