Weight loss ?? for Runners
For those of you who know me, you know I've been very hit & miss with novice running (mostly walking, really) and as such, know very little about the sport. I'm curious from as many new and experienced runners - what has your weight-loss (or maintenance) been like with JUST running?? I noted a while ago that it doesn't…

Running indoors..
Hey guys, I know sounds silly, maybe, but I've really not got the confidence to go out there running right now as I live in a built up area of houses with basically nowhere but streets to run along and feel that I'd not enjoy the run like I want to.. So..my question is; Do you guys think it would be alright, until I'm a…

The curse of the belly. Ahh!
Okay, if I could choose to have my fat distributed anywhere, it would probably be my legs, or my arms, or my behind. However, I have the curse .. of the big belly. :( Granted, my hips aren't where they should be, and I could work on my arms and legs, but i'm really not to concerned about that because i'm a little big…

Stairmaster
This may be a stupid question.. but I don't know the answer! Is running up and down your house staircase for 20 min the same as using a stair master for 20 minutes? I recently moved into a new apartment 30 minutes away from my gym so I'm trying to get creative, since I don't have time for the trip over to the gym nearly as…

Gym or Home workouts?
I'm just wondering what peple's thoughts are on home vs. gyms workouts. It looks like a lot of MFPs use fitness videos. A new gym opened within walking distance to my house and it's really cheap. No classes but all the usual cardio/weight machines you'd expect to find in a gym. I like the privacy of working out at home but…
