So today, I wanted to get in a few extra minutes of exercise. I have gone outside on my breaks and walked at a brisk pace around town for 10 minutes each. Am I really helping the weight loss? Or should I wait and make it one long uninterruped time of walking?

Better to walk for time or speed?
I just started out recently and walking 35 minutes @ 3.5 MPH. Is it better to work up to like 60 minutes @ 3.5 MPH, or walking 30 minutes @ 4.0 MPH? Right now, I'd like to walk either 60 minutes once a day or 30 minutes twice a day. Btw, I'm going to get a heart monitor this week. :)
