Need help improving running speed/time
I am pretty certain I will be running my first 5K on November 21. While I can run that distance, I am not very fast at all. I timed myself today, and running 3.2 miles took me 37:50. Good walking/ running shoes??
I'm wondering if y'all have any suggestions on any really good, supportive walking/ running shoes?? The ones that I have now make my shins burn and just suck. Treadmill vs. outdoors?
I can jog on my treadmill for 30 minutes straight through, its usually around 2 and a half miles when I'm finished, but when I jog outside I huff and puff and have to stop to take a break before I even get to the end of the street. Does anyone else have this problem? Or, are my lungs just super strange? ;)

Is the P90x A LOT A LOT harder than the 30 day shred.. I find the 30 day shred to be challenging. I can do the whole thing except I do some of the modifications.
