Abs
Ok, so my tummy has always been a problem area for me. I really want to focus on shaping it up. In fact, it is really the only area I feel I need to work on. I want to feel comfortable in a bikini. Does anyone have suggestions for me besides crunches? I do lots of crunches a day, around 200, but the results are so slow and…

How many calories do you burn?
This is a really cool website for when you're not sure how many calories you've burned during a workout: http://www.self.com/health/activity/calculators/ You select an activity, put in your weight and duration, and it calculates about how many calories you've burned! I found it helpful for entering in a cardio exercise…

Ideas for exercise at work
I was just wondering if anybody had any ideas of some type of exercise that I can do here at work. I work in an office all day--sit, sit, sit--except when I go out to the mailbox. :grumble: I get so sleepy around 1:00pm-2:00pm every day! I have my own office--I do payroll--crunching numbers can really get to me!

Good morning, fitness enthusiasts! Today is my last Thursday "off" before I start doing yoga 3xs a week. I'll still manage a short (30 min-ish) walk if the weather holds out. I have an appointment at the University that doesn't let me line up with any of the yoga classes today. I'm feeling my "fitness test" from yesterday,…

Hi! I need to buy new running shoes. I used to have Nike and Reebok but I think they are not the best or the cheapest or the most beautiful so why not change for something new  I have a question for all runners - what do you think about New Balance and Asics brands? They are not so popular in Poland so nobody can…

weights
I have been using the same 5 pound dumbells for a few years now, but my arms do not really have the muscle tone that I want. My arms just kinda seem straight and covered with skin and a little bit of fat. I was thinking of buying 8 pound dumbells, but I know that if you get a bigger weight and do less reps you gain muscle,…

A Step in the Right Direction, at least
Well, I'm stuck at just 6 lbs. However, I just went for a stress test (orders from the family doc due to a low heart rate), and it turned out just fine. The doctor and nurses kept saying how well I did over and over again. It took 11 minutes to get my  up to 160 (I honestly don't know what that means though). That…

Morning, all! I feel all pumped up today. Today is Bikram, and walking there. Tonight is date night (hopefully I'll make it past 8pm tonight. . .) So I'll also probably go over a bit on my calories (it's my planned "treat" meal) I was trying to think of a "non-food/exercise" element to the challenge for myself and I've…
