Gagging down my protein shake...
....seriously, is there ANY way of making this an enjoyable thing? I'm using Multipower 100% Whey (in Vanilla Fresh) and although it's not the worst protein powder I've ever tasted. it is FAR from pleasant. Doesn't seem to matter what I stick in it, I can't get the damned thing to taste okay.

Primal, Paleo, Low carb, oh my!
I've been trying to cut gluten out of my life. I have been moderately successful at this. Not perfect but I am getting the hang of it. But as my diet keeps cycling I have come to realize one thing- I am addicted to sugar. I don't mean this in a hahah sense. I mean I literally seem to have a mental and physical addiction to…

Okay, I'm not sure if this was a mistake on the box or if I am missing something. I ate the weight watchers dark chocolate raspberry ice cream bars and on the box it says : 2 bars equals one serving one bar is 80 calories two bars equals 170 calories. Last time I checked, 80 * 2 = 160..... NOT 170 am I missing something…

Getting Enough Protein
How much protein should I be eating? For various reasons I eat a mostly vegetarian diet, I made the change from eating meat to eating almost no meat gradually over the past year. I never worried too much about protein, I just made sure I had a source in every meal (eggs, cheese, yoghurt, nuts etc.) and figured it would be…

Need to find new lower calorie Non-Dairy butter
For cooking, I use Earth Balance. But. It is very high in calories (100 per tbsp). I have been using & love the Best Life Buttery Spread. But, it has been discontinued & I'm on my last tub of it. :( It tasted great & was only 50 calories. So what's out there that's lower calorie, dairy-free & tastes good.

A week's worth of food around the world
A friend sent me this link and I was seriously fascinated. Sunflower seeds - eating the shell
Okay, so I'm one who eats seeds--shell and all. Done it all my life. I've done a lot of research and can't find ANY source for nutritional information for seeds when you eat the shell. The info is just for the unshelled kernels. The representative from David sunflower seeds said "while the shell is safe, we don't recommend…

Atlering Protein Powder By Cooking It?
I've seen recipes that involve baking/cooking/microwaving protein powder and was wondering if this is nutritionally changing the protein powder, more specifically, whey protein powder? Since meat can become tougher when cooked, I imagine cooking whey protein powder could change it structurally but I don't know if that's…

I need some better options for breakfast! I get up at 5AM and get myself and my 3 children ready for work and school. Usually on my way to work I will stop at McDonalds or some fast food chain. Rice cakes instead of popcorn - discovery!
I wanted popcorn, had none, and even if I did I'd have to do it over a stove, in oil, as have no popper. I mean I prefer it old school, but anyway. I DID have plain rice cakes (experiment). Crumbled them into a bowl & salted them. Afaic, It's practically the same as microwave popcorn, which I think is kind of gross, but…

Or even what foods to add if that's applicable. Also if you know of any good online studies or articles on the matter, I'd love to read them, thanks!

Do sodas make you forget?
Not to encourage anyone to pour a shot of perfectly good liquor in a diet soda and wake up in the morning with a hangover and no recollection of the night before, but do sodas make you forget?
