Sugar Ain't Seeming So Sweet to Me these Days....
I keep going over my daily sugar allotment....but a LOT. I try not to eat sugary things, but even the healthiest things I eat are apparently sugary. I've been told artificial sweeteners do more harm than good, and also that it is best to use real sugar in moderation. I try my hardest to not load up on sugar (when I'm…

Numbers do not lie.
MFP has been a great way for me to track my daily intake and I love how easy it is to see my goal and to work to reach it. Today was the first time I had to add wine into my food diary. Ouch. Even a once a week treat like it is for me, will be one heck of an eye opener. I definitely prefer to eat my calories versus…

Is it possible to eat low sodium and high protein?
Hi All. About 4 months ago, I altered my macros and made my diet 50% protein (30% carbs, 20% fat). It didn't take long to notice that, as a result, my sodium levels increased (probably due to increased cheese and higher sodium meat products). On an almost daily basis, my sodium has been over the 2500 mfp limit. Since --- I…

Healthy and yummy finger food!
It's my 21st in a few weeks and I want some ideas for some healthy fingerfood to serve at the party. I'm expecting 60-70 guests. One is diabetic and one is a coeliac. Also it's summer here and the party is outdoors. So far I've decided to make fruit skewers and a platter with crackers and dips and carrot/cellery sticks.

REALLY Struggling to Hit Daily Calories
Hey all, I need some ideas for foods that I can eat to get my calorie count up. Right now, I burn roughly 500 - 650 calories a day in exercise (depending on how much cardio I do vs. weight training). I currently try to only eat back 1/2 those calories, just so I can see how my body reacts and to account for any errors in…

McAlister's Chicken Tortilla Soup
I LOVE McAlister's Deli and using their nutrition calculator, I usually make a plan before I go so that I can order something that isn't going to be sky-high in calories. One of my favorites is the Chicken Tortilla Soup, a cup of that (if you don't include the side portion of chips) is only 120 calories according to their…

Tips for adding protein to breakfast.
I'm trying to add a protein serving to my breakfast. My usual breakfast is cereal - either oatmeal, or multigrain hot cereal, or shredded wheat along with fruit and milk.
