TDEE-20% is lower than my BMR!
Hi everyone, I have a calories question. I've heard people say that eating TDEE-20% is a good way to go. My TDEE is 2000, so my TDEE-20% is 1600. However, I've also heard that you should never eat less than your BMR because you will go into starvation mode. My BMR is 1800! How can my BMR be so high? I've checked it on…

breakfast
Hi Everyone, So I read that breakfast is an important component of the day. So I added in some oatmeal and some yogurt as part of my routine and I gained four pounds this week. I'm not sure why this has happened. I stayed in my calorie zone and did the same exercise routine. Any thoughts? Thank you Katie

Asparagus lovers?
I love asparagus, and would love to hear how everyone likes to eat it! I'm always looking for new ways to make veggies even more delicious. When I was younger it was often a side dish, though it was usually asparagus and cream. Not particularly healthy but still delicious. Now I eat it straight up, but I'm looking for ways…

Zucchini?
My roommate hates mushy veggies. Her aunt gave her some frozen garden squash and zucchini mix which after cooking turned out to be very squishy from being frozen. I thought maybe zucchini bread would be a good use for it, but all the recipes I've seen call for grated zucchini, and we have... mushy slices. Does anyone know…

Cheap, ethical protein sources
Please help me out with suggestions! I'd like to add another 20g or so of protein to my day, every day. I can "free up" around 200 cal to do it, more if it can replace my nut/seed/fruit snacks. (Reason for increasing protein is to get the benefits of the strength training I'm doing - I already use a protein shake on…

When should I have my protein shake?
I'm really new to this whole protein powder thing but I figured since I'm not a huge meat eater and want to also gain some muscle I should incorporate protein powder into my diet. Right now I have it only on the days I work out and either before or after the gym. I was wondering if that is a good plan and if it be better…

How to incorporate BOD POD results with MFP...
I retested with Bod Pod recently and did not get the results I was expecting - went from 31% to 33% body fat - my goal was 29.9% - under 30, which puts me "within acceptable limits". Went back through MFP to reset all of my calorie goals and wondering where I went wrong?! I am SO CLOSE and the technician said I was only…

Chicken Calories
Ok, so have you ever looked close to the packaging on chicken breasts? Lets take Perdue Chicken for example. They have different values cooked/uncooked. Most likely due to moisture loss I assume. I am confused however because the fat goes up as uncooked its 10 calories out of 120 (8.3%), and cooked it is 10 calories out of…
