Nutrition content errors
Hello. Where do I report errors in the nutrition database? Two I have noted: "Homemade - Rhubarb and Apple Crumble" and "Homemade - Fruitcake Dark" both list as containing zero sugar. Would that it were so, but this is not credible.

Calling all fitbit users!
I have the Fitbit one and when I exercise, I have just been letting it sync as normal and deduct my calories burned. Does anyone opt to manually log exercises instead? Which is more accurate would you say as far as calories burned?

Net calories.
Ok this may seem silly but I was just thinking about the whole net calories thing. If I'm eating just over 1200 calories per day but burn something like 250 calories in exercise, my net calorie intake is 950....is it bad to have under 1200 net calories per day? Will it put a person in starvation mode? If I workout more…

Chia seeds?
I'm sure this has been talked about here already, but I just bought a bag of chia seeds because my coworker said they're full of good things and help her feel full longer than normal. I put a tablespoon in my greek yogurt this morning, and although the texture took a bit to get used to, it was definitely bearable! It seems…

am I undereating?
I stick to my calorie goal daily of about 1600 calories. That daily with no exercise. I'm lightly active in my job and if I train I log it and try my best at eating back calories. I was looking at my charts the other day (the bar chart one with the line of where you are meant to eat to) and hardly near it some days!! What…

Raw eggs? Safe eggs? Pasteurized eggs? Thoughts?
Okay, growing up, I was a runner. Ran 7 to 10 miles a day and started everyday with a quasi homemade eggnog protein shake... decades before they were popular.... I'd crack a raw egg into my one cup mixer, some milk, some vanilla and chug. I was always healthy as a horse. I used to make hollandaise sauce too (using a raw…

Steamer bags - Healthy?
I've found using green giant and birds eye veggie steamer bags are the quickest way for me and my toddler to get veggies in our diet. I eat mostly the plain veggie bags, but she will only eat the veggies and/or pasta with the sauce on it. Sometimes I do eat the sauce covered bags of veggies and pasta. Are these healthy? I…

Ok so it is almost dinner time and I have 1100 calories left to ingest before I log out (I try not to eat after 7pm). For those that eat low carb
I'm pretty new on here. I usually eat low carb and don't count calories. I decided to give it a try to get rid of a few extra pounds and make sure I am eating enough. My question is if you eat your calorie allowance, keep your carbs low, but go over your fat allowance do you still lose?

getting more fat in my diet
I have my macro goals set at 40% carbs, 30% protein and 30% fats. I'm doing well with my protein intake and end up going over on the carbs but not by much..this is something else I need to work on. My big problem is with fats...I would say I average about 16% per day instead of 30%. Any tips for getting more healthy fat in…

What Categories Are Bad To Go Over?
So I've been looking at what I've been eating in terms of cholesterol, sugar, protein, etc intake. I'm having difficulty getting my numbers even. If I'm okay in cholesterol then I am over the amount of sugar I am supposed to have in one day. Any ideas on which categories I should definitely stay below my limit versus what…

Calorie Calculation

I took the…

High calorie/low carb meals??
Hi MFP peeps - I'm on a journey to lose a good portion of weight. I'm being told that I'm not eating enough (I'm not hungry which is why I'm not making my goal) so I need some ideas for meals or snacks that have a little more punch without a huge carb load. I'm starting week 3 today and can see that I'm a little heavy on…
