Eating mindfully
Has anyone had success with practicing mindful eating? Basically, just eating absolutely whatever your body is craving when you're truly physically hungry, eating extremely slow and savoring each bite, chewing completely, eating in a quiet room without distractions, and stopping when your body is full. I've had a lot of…

Which milk is best
I've recently switched from regular lowfat milk to almond milk. I love almond milk. I was wondering if there is any benefit to drinking regular milk, or it is okay to eliminate from my diet. Also, which is best - almond milk, soy Milk, or cow Milk from a nutritional perspective.

NUTS & SEEDS
Hello! So I have currently been addicted to a homemade trail mix, filled with lots of nuts and dried fruit! All raw of course, but every time I enter it into MFP it takes all of my calories! I have usually a 1/4 cup or half of a 1/4 of different foods, and it eat throughout the day. I understand it is high in certain…

Any Juicers on here and if so how do you record calls?
Hi yall I am wondering if their are other avid juicers and on here and, if so, how you record the calories for the juices that you make? I would think they would have fewer calories than the full fruit as you are removing all but the juice of the fruits and veggies that are being juiced!

Gluten free diaries
Would any of you who are following a gluten free diet be willing to share your diary? I have been on a logging hiatus for a while and realize that logging my food works much better for me. Thanks! Cindy

Question about Walmarts Deli wings
So I usually eat Walmart's hot wings, non-breaded. Today I went and they were out and have the ranch ones. They look non-breaded. I have seen their breaded wings and they are much larger. I added them to my foods for the day and it says they are 180 calories a piece! I only had four, but that's alot of calories. My…

Natural sugars vs. Added sugars
I am wondering why naturally occurring sugars aren't separated from added sugars? Both sugars are clumped together in one category but I've heard countless times that even diabetics can safely eat the sugars of vegetables, milk, and even moderate amounts of fruit. This is because lactose is digested differently than say…

Better than Laughing Cow
Babybel! I know they're made by the same company but I find it funny everyone's so hot on the Cow when man these are much better. More like actual cheese than those creepy processed little triangles.

Why do people refrain themselves at Chipotle?
I mean, you're paying $7 in the end for this cheap quasi-Mexican food that's not even healthy to begin with (you ever see those bottles of soybean oil they douse the food with?!). I see people ordering like weak salad bowls with no rice and beans, but with extra meat. Or people who are afraid of tortillas and guacamole.…

Not getting enough vitamin C? Eat a Kiwi.
Believe it or not, a single Kiwi fruit has over 100% of your recommended daily intake of vitamin C. It also only has about 60 calories. The kiwi fruit; delicious and nutritious! Yeah, dude!

Eggs
I've been doing some research on eating healthy and what have you, and so far it's about 50/50 when it comes to eggs. I* never go above 2 a day, but is the whole egg better or the egg whites? egg whites I know are lower cal, but do you lose any protein or other health benefits? *sorry, I never go above 2 a day. my own…

Sauerkraut: Condiment or Veggie Serving?
So I purchased a can of Sauerkraut to put on some smoked sausages. I only used two tablespoons (recommended serving) for the sausage. I am aware the only ingredients are salt, water, and cabbage. But do you consider it a single serving of vegetables or just a condiment?

How to get enough protein w/out going over on fat?
I'm having a hard time meeting my protein goal and the closer I get, the more I wind up going over in fat. I'd love some suggestions on high protein snacks and side dishes that I may not have thought of or considered.

Eating right on a budget
I'm on a budget. I'm a teacher and my husband is a full time student. So things are tight. Healthy food is not cheap! Produce in CO is especially pricey. We buy frozen vegetables, and compare prices, and all that. Does anyone have any advice? Or maybe just someone who's been there? Thanks!

What's the difference
I have done 0 research on this yet but intend to do so, for pure curiosity sake. Say both people have met the criteria for a surgery.....(to level the playing field) What is the difference between someone who has had a stomach surgery, either gastric bypass, band etc.....and is now on that "egg sized" diet plan and all the…

Recipes you add yourself
Hello! I've added a few recipes on MFP and I'm confused about how to add the proper serving of a recipe, since we measure everything out--there isn't an actual "serving size" option, just an option for how many people it serves. I feel like this isn't always accurate, but I'm not sure how to go about figuring this out--any…

Carrots are Icky
Ok, I don't like carrots. There is only one way I'll eat carrots and that's when it's in my chicken chili. Other than that, I pick them out and make my boyfriend eat them. I don't know why I don't like them. I want to know, is there anything similar to them that I can eat that I won't pick out?

Look what I "discovered"!!!
I just "discovered"....Grey Poupon Mild & Creamy Dijon Mustard!!! Yummy! It's relatively no fat and calories, pretty much no anything!! But it's just as it says it is...mild and creamy! I added it to some shredded chicken and chopped boiled egg for a lunchtime chicken salad. Was delicious. Can't wait to add it to more…
