How do you break the addiction to fast food?
Hi all, I would love to hear from anyone who has had success ending their relationship with fast food. I feel like it's really what is holding me back the most in terms of my progress. I've gone without for a few days or even a week or two, but I always seem to come back. What has helped you the most in ending the…

ok question. I'm not hungry and I haven't really been hungry the last couple of days. The foods that i've been eating are low in calories, which is a good thing, but it's just keeping me short of the miniumum calorie intake . What I was thinking of doing is eating something today higher in calories, so that I will make my…

Calories set by MFP too low?
I increased my daily cals today. I was so hungry all the time and had no energy. I knew I would not sustain this for long feeling that way and I want this to be a lifelong change, not a fad diet. I went and calculated my BMR (using the post from Dan found on this site elsewhere) and my BMR is just over 1500 cals. MFP had…

Fiber One Cookies/Brownies
What's your opinion of them? Would you consider them a healthy snack or a dessert for only once in a while? They're relatively low in calories and fat, but are they a hidden diet ruiner? I've been wondering this for a while. They're pretty good, but I don't want to get attached to a snack that's actually really bad for me.…

BioTrust Low Carb protein
Has anyone used BioTrust Low Carb protein powder? What interests me about this one is that it's a time-released blend of equal amounts of 4 different fast- and slow-acting proteins that provide your body with quality nutrition for up to 8 hours, as opposed to whey-protein-only products which are metabolized more quickly..

Frustrated seems really inaccurate
So pretty much want to give up on this site. The calorie counts suggested when you do a search are all over the place and seem to be crazy inaccurate. Look up boneless skinless cooked chicken breast and you will get anywhere from 900 cal. to 250 cal. for a 4 0z serving. So I just looked up a one oz serving listed as no fat…

Will CLA really help with belly fat/weight loss?
I don't usually put much stock in stuff like this, but I recently read about conjugated linoleic acids (CLA) supplements. Some studies have shown them to be beneficial for fat loss, particularly belly fat. Supposedly they are found largely in meat and dairy from grass-fed ruminants (cattle, kangaroo, etc) and are much…
