Eating Clean~Help
I recently reached my goal weight (basically) and I have been bloated for the longest time. I think I found out why and it is because my sodium intake is insanely high. My mini goal now is to lose about 5 lbs of water weight and I hope to achieve this by cutting down my sodium to 1500mg a day. I am thinking that this all…

A Non Traditional Thanksgiving Feast
For my MFP friends, this does match my food diary yesterday! LOL A high calorie day for sure. Today is back to business. All the tools you learn in the weight loss phase comes into play for maintenance and the rest of your life. None of the skills you learn are wasted efforts. Even once you get to your goal, you don't stay…

Weight Watchers anyone?
So, I'm doing Weight Watchers along with MFP. So far I've made two of their dishes, the hearty turkey chili and the pasta with butternut squash, ricotta and walnuts. Both recipes were divine! I'm wondering if anyone else on here is doing WW too, and if so, what are your favorite WW recipes?

Does anyone drink apple cider vinegar in water?
I've been drinking a tbs of apple cider vinegar in 16 ounces of water since Friday. I read it could boost your metabolism ect. I noticed that I get some mild stomach pains for a few hours after drinking it. Has anyone had this issue? I've lost nearly 4 lbs since Friday. I don't know if it's that's a reason why I've lost so…

Has Anyone Used Lipozene or Slimquick?
I bought some Lipozene a month or so ago and I am thinking about using it only to help curb my appetite. It says it can help lose body fat, I don't believe that... has anyone ever tried it. I have also taken Slimquick in the past and it seems to help, but I am not sure. Had anyone used and gotten good results?

Supplements-RipFuel/Hydroxycut
So my question to MFP land is simple. Does these things help the process along? I understand that there is no magic bullet that if you take this pill then you will drop weight. I already have a plan that is working and i am losing. I am just wanting a little boost to help in the weight loss. Thanks

treat yourself?
I've been dieting non stop for over 5 weeks now without a single treat. I'd love a cookie or a chocolate bar but I'm worried I'll feel too guilty afterwards, does anyone else feel like this? Is there anything you'd suggest?

Metamucil
I've been having a bad pain in my side. It's above my kidney around where my stomach is. Never had a pain like this before, and I haven't been doing any new types of exercise or eating any new foods. I've been taking metamucil powder for a few days now and I'm wondering if some gelled up fiber could be causing an…

Dropping under 1200
So it seems that today I will drop under 1200 calories, does this matter so long as it does not happen too often? I seem to have eaten a fairly balanced diet for the day (there were quite a few vegetables in with the tuna and pasta) but find myself way under my recommendation.

chocolate vs healthy
I was just wondering and obviously I'm not going to do this, but say you were eating 1000cals a day, if you ate 1000cals would you lose the same amount of weight if you were eating 1000cals of fruit and veg? Like I said, I know you cant live like that and I'm not going to, just curious if eating the same amount of calories…

Too many vitmains?
On most days, I seem to go way over 100% for vitamin intake. For Vitamin C, I'm usually at 1800-2000%, for Vitamin A, I am 300-350%, for Iron I am usually 130-145%. I try to eat a lot of fruits and veggies in my natural diet plus a take Women's 1-A-Day, and Caltrate Gummy Bites with Calcium and Vitamin D3, and 1,000mg of…

Food nutrition info needs a re-work
The food database is completely messed-up because it uses percentages for some of the nutrition info. This 2,000 calorie diet stuff isn't helpful at all. The requirements for certain nutrients is highly variable, starting simply with gender. If the database would just be updated to include standard measurements for the…

Question about Soy milk...first time drinker
I'm looking to eliminate cow's milk from my diet for about 2 weeks. I've been having some troubles with dairy lately. I drink protein shakes and am wondering if it would be best to buy a plain soy milk or a flavoured one? What are your experiences? I buy chocolate & vanilla protein powders. *I'm allergic to nuts so I can't…

Pomegranate juice...
I have tried several diet drinks and flavorings. Most recently, I bought some MIO which, to me, tastes terrible. I have started buying POM 100% pomegranate juice and using a tablespoonful to flavor tea and other drinks. I even put it in Coke Zero and it tastes great! It takes away the artificial sweetener taste and a…

How to measure Calories for a bean soup?
I guess this one is for you experienced cooks and calorie counters out there. I am making some 15 bean soup. It has the beans, turkey sausage, tomatoes etc in it. Cucumbers + Doritos....
Once upon a time, while eating a simple salad (iceberg lettuce/cucumber slices/bacon bits/lite italian), I desired a little more crunch to go with it. There just happened to be a bag of doritos hanging around so I ate them together. The dressing sort of mutes the dorito's own seasonings, enhancing that "nacho cheese"…
