Side for tuna melt
Can anyone recommend a healthy side to have with a tuna melt? No salads, I'm having a lot of salads this week....not too keen on having soup either. I know I'm being difficult, but I'm hoping for some different ideas. I tend to eat the same things each week, and Tuna Melts are nice and easy on Fridays (planning ahead) and…

Yeah, right!
Just have to share... I was in line at Price Chopper tonight buying a lifetime supply of Soy Crisps  and saw one of those trashy grocery store check-out magazines advertising that you could "Lose 16 pounds this week and still eat brownies and pizza!":noway: How is that even semi-believable? Obviously it's a crock of…

How much protien is bad
I have been eating better than I think I ever have before. In my log I am staying under the recomended calories, carbs, and fat, but when it comes to the protien I always go over by 20-40. We are eating lean meats like roasted and ground turkey, lamb, and ground sirloin (not often). This is pushing my protien way over the…

Meal Replacement Bars
I had a Met-rx Big 100 Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough bar after my morning workout today. It has 370 calories, but filled me right up (28gprotein, 6g fat --2.5 sat, 190mg sodium, 50g carbs, only 2 grams fiber though). I'm fitting this into my daily calorie allotment so I can adjust my other meals around this. My question is…

Fage vs. Chobani just and FYI from one person's tast buds
Well, the supermarkets I go to have been out of my Fage total 0%:grumble: So I tried the Chobani. Higher in protein and slightly higher in calories. For me, the texture was gritty and the taste more like cottage cheese than yogurt. It was okay, but just not as creamy as the Fage. There you go. Unfortunately, I bought like…

Dining Out - At Home or On Vacation
Hi All, I'm somewhat new here, so I don't know if this has ever been posted. However, it could help many of us out when we want to dine out. Gabriel Method?
Has anyone read the Gabriel Method book? Is it worth buying? My library does not have a copy, so I am reluctant to buy it unseen. I may check to see if B&N has it so I can peruse it before hand. I had never heard of it until I clicked on an ad on this site for it. Has anyone tried the approach?

Consistantly low carbs...
Just curious - my goal is NOT a low carb diet. However, every single day I tend to be low on carbs (for example, today the goal is 203, i'm at 150 with everything for the day added, including snacks). Is this dangerous? What badness can come from it?
