Alternatives to gels..
So I had my long run (10 miles) this weekend, training for a half marathon in April. I bought an energy gel-Gu-Blueberry Pomegranate. I cannot handle the taste nor the texture of this stuff-YECK! :grumble: :grumble: Do any runners out there have an alternative to gels for an energy supplement for the long runs? Of course,…

Kind of an odd question....
So I've had this strange question floating around in my head since I was little and I thought I'd ask your thoughts on it. Perhaps this is the wrong category for it as it is pretty much the opposite of good nutrition, but there really isn't an area for how to consume bad foods. ;) Here it is: I'm wondering if you bought…

What would some of you recommend as healthy snacks? I know fruits and veggies are good but what else is something you snack on that is healthy? Thanks =)

Costco Turkey Wrap - OOPS
Holy cow!! We went to Costco tonight and ate dinner, so I thought I'd have something healthier than their hot dog. Yeah, nice idea! I love their chicken bake, but it has loads of calories and fat, usually I split with dh but he wanted a polish dog. So, in my moment of brilliance, I got the turkey wrap. Putting in…

That Full Feeling Comes Quickly Now
Hey there, In the beginning did anyone else notice it takes about 30-40% less food to feel full after a meal? It's been about 3 weeks since I started and in the last few days I've noticed I'm full after my smaller sized meals. I've been drinking water so I know that helps, but is my stomach shrinking too? Maybe my brain is…

Posting Recipes
Alright, I am gonna throw this out there....and I may take some flack for it, but I am gonna say it anyway. Recently there have been complaints coming up about all the recipes being posted (which I post a ton) and the "value" of the recipes being put up. Here's the thing, you don't HAVE to go look at the recipes if you…

Cheesy sweet filling goop?
I probably shouldn't be asking this on a public site with people who will hate me for putting the idea in their head, but I have a craving for one of those pastries that has the cheesy, sweet filling. I thought maybe I'd try to make it myself and see if I could make a lower calorie version, but am not even sure what to…

Filling Foods!
I posted a topic on the cabbage soup diet and I thought I would start a new thread on the base of that thread. During the time of the month that I'm on my period I tend to overeat a little. Its like I don't get the feeling of being "full" during that time. The rest of the month I have no problems with that! I quit drinking…

Cabbage Soup...(Diet)
I'm curious has anyone ever made the cabbage soup from the cabbage soup diet? I don't want to do the cabbage soup diet itself, I just want to make the soup because I like all the things that are in it. But I was curious to if it actually tastes good? Created by MyFitnessPal.com - Free Food Diary

Frozen chocolate chips
I don't know if anyone else does this, but I have found that it really helps with chocolate cravings. I like to get a bag of chocolate chips and put it in the freezer. Whenever I'm craving chocolate, I only allow myself about 10 chocolate chips. It's just enough to calm the craving, and the fact that they are frozen makes…

low-calorie chips?
hi. i'm new here. just a week on-log and i'm quite happy with my results. i love chips and, for the time being, i replaced them with fresh apples. pretty good... well, but not for me. i don't eat much fruits and veggies. as always, this is why it is difficult for me to go dieting -- i ran out of choices of food that i eat.…

Olive Garden Salad
Anyone know where the calories and fat are coming from in an Olive Garden tossed salad? Even on the OG website, they are trying to say that one serving of salad is 120 calories- 120 calories of WHAT? A whole BAG if Fresh Express salad mix which contains the same nutrient-void contents has 60 calories. Just not seeing it!…

How long does it takes cravings to go away?
I just came back from another binge. :grumble: You know something is wrong when you crave (and then go get at 10p...) a crepe w/ nutella after you just ate 4 pudding cups, 3 cups of cereal, 3 oranges, 1/2 a bag of almonds, and garlic fries. :noway: So I've tried (unsuccessfully) to stop (many times before this too). I…
