Calorie Targets
So I'm fairly new to MFP which I started to use to get rid of some annoying belly fat from my otherwise lean body. I went through the usual process which estimated my maintenance calories at 2500 per day and I now have a target of 2200 per day; so far I have been unable to hit this as it seems like almost nothing. I was…

Calorie Deficit to lose weight?
After doing quite a bit of research on different nutritionists there’s a lot of them just doing a calorie deficit so you can still eat the foods you like but obviously cutting your calorie intake in half..... So if I normally eat around 2300 calories and cut it down to 1100 calories I’d be eating and drinking throughout…

Anyone prefer the treadmill over track/outside running? I’ve done the majority of my miles on the treadmill for years. I find outside running more exhausting. I hate that because I love the outdoors!

A hit to the confidence
So I’ve been losing weight since the start of October and I’m currently down 21kg. I know I am still big and still have a lot to lose, but I had a super important meeting with work today and went to buy some nice new work clothes on the weekend and it was so disheartening. I thought it would be a little easier being 20kg…

How did you settle on what your maintenance weight was going to be?
So for 2019 my resolution was to lose weight and get healthier. I dropped 130+ lbs in 2019. My goal was originally 350+(unknown top number) to 265. I ended the year at 225 after continuing to just keep moving the goal post. Currently sitting right around 220 on a continued drop path. Mathematically and visually I fall…

Is it ok not to eat back your "work out" calories?
My only exercise for the day is walking for 1 hour, which is about 200-300 calories burned. Since this amount is low can I just not log it or will that make my calorie intake(?) too low for the day?

Exercise/burning calories question
I have a recumbent bike, which records my calories burned. When I compare this amount to what is in the data base here, the data base here gives a higher burn than my bike's program says. Which is more accurate? or maybe I should average the two?

Accurately Measuring Muscle?
I have a Taylor scale that shows BMI, water, body muscle etc. I know it is a good reference but my muscle changes (+/-) depending on my weight (even .5) I know I’m losing fat because I’ve lost several inches (do a lot of strength/weight training and cardio) and feel more of my weight fluctuations are probably due to water…

Cutting fat off waist/ love handles
I'm trying to cut the final 10-15 pounds of "flab" around my middle. I am doing good on getting it down. I wonder how to get my fat % down below 20%.
